Resident Evil for GameCube is an action/adventure game based on the original PlayStation game from 1996. This classic remake stars familiar main characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as Alpha team leaders. Gamers choose to play as one of these two and embark on a horrendous quest through a dark and mysterious mansion filled with diverse rooms and areas and the unimaginable-the undead. Players will solve puzzles, battle zombies with a full range of weapons, and ultimately expose the corruption behind the faulty scientific experiment that haunts the mansion. All special effects including sound, music, real-time shadows, lighting and motion-captured character animation, have all been redefined and greatly improved. In addition, background elements now interact with immediate surroundings due to the full-motion animation in the game.

Customer Reviews
very good - essential for maximum gameplay
I disagree with comments that this guide is not helpful - the whole idea is that it points you in the right directions without necessarily giving away secrets or surprises. That is far better as the game relies on suspense and atmosphere which other giveaway guides can ruin. This book is extremely helpful and i would recommend it to anyone starting off the game.
Get the Prima Guide instead!
Being a big fan of the Resident Evil series, i couldnt wait to get my hands on Resident Evil on the GameCube, knowing that this game is compleately different than the original, i needed a detailed guide to help me! but sadly this wasn't it! It seems like the writer couldnt be bothered to make the guide! for example, most of the time it says things like:
"Go into this room and look around for a helpfull item"
hummmm...... wait a min, look where? what am i looking for?
also, mainly on the Chris Redfield walkthrough, it tells you to take certain items with you, wich pretty much fills up your 6 inventory slots, and stops you from picking up new items, i constantly found myself wandering back to the last item box and dumping stuff i didnt need!
if you need a guide, get the Prima one instead, you still get a poster with it, and its gotta be better than this!
Brilliant!
I thought this walkthrough was brilliant it made the game so much easier for me it had loads of good tips and i recomend it to anyone..
