Product Description

Kiefer Sutherland has not always led the pampered life of a son of celebrity parents. He has carved his own path, made his own mistakes, as well as some unusual and surprising life decisions along the way. Kiefer Sutherland: The Biography traces the actor's life from his childhood, through his parents' divorce to his struggle to break into acting and the success he has achieved today. He has appeared in almost 60 films but his role as Jack Bauer in 24 has given him a new, international audience. This biography explores his versatility as an actor, his involvement with the Brat Pack when he became known as a hellraiser, and the years when he turned his back on Hollywood to travel on the rodeo circuit. In this first biography of the notorious actor, the author will explore the relationships in Kiefer's life: the unique and enduring bond with his father, Donald Sutherland, and his chequered love life including the cancellation of his wedding to Julia Roberts. Bestselling writer Laura Jackson examines closely the many aspects of the actor's life revealing his true story for the first time.

Definitely Worth It!!5
I own all the "24" seasons and nearly every movie this man has made...and have read so much about him...obviously, I'm a huge fan. But this biography brought a new perspective to me: he's human with feelings and fears and hopes and dreams. Movie stars have a certain aura around them that allows fans to believe they are somehow separated from them. My husband and I met Kiefer in New York, and he's not at all like that. He said he doesn't want to be like that. It's like the biographer said, Kiefer doesn't want to lose touch with the street level. He feels that's what helps him play the various characters he has over the years, keeping them believable. I love him on "24" but there are so many of his movies that he's equally compelling in. He is definitely a versatile actor -- one of the "greats" of our time -- and you get to see the other side of him in this book.

Keifer Sutherland The Biography3
I thought the book ok but not really my cup of tea.
some parts were quite good but others were a bit boring.
But if your a Keifer Sutherland fan like me you should read it.

Excellent Book5

It was fascinating to read about Kiefer Sutherland. I haven't always been a fan of his and many of his films I have disliked.

24 is so amazing. It is the only TV show that has gripped me and had my heart thumping rapidly. His character Jack Bauer is such a great one. The best that Kiefer has ever played.

Other films are mentioned in the book, along with descriptions about his personal life and how he managed to make his own name come to life and stand out from his famous actor father Donald Sutherland.
Kiefer Sutherland, I must say, is truly a most talented actor along with his father.
