An amazing guide!
This is the first time that I bought a guide for a game and I'm glad to say that I wasn't disappointed. I bought the guide not really because I was having trouble with the game (although there are several tricky bits!) but because I wanted MORE from the game. I wanted to know how I could squeeze every single drop of enjoyment out of my purchase. And it worked!

I found out how to see all FIVE different endings, how to get all the bonus weapons, where all the secret items are stored etc etc. So this guide helped me turn what might have been 12 hours of gameplay into about 50 hours or more. So it really is excellent value for money. Oh, and I'll challenge ANYONE to a Silent Hill 2 contest. I am the master!!!

Essential guide to an essential game
Silent Hill 2. For those who have completed this evil game the very words will send a shudder down your spine. This is by far the best PS2 game available, surpassing Half Life, GT3 and even the astonishing GTA3. The graphics are unbelievable, the atmosphere is scum and the challenges are taxing, if you don't put it on easy that is. This guide is not recommended if you have yet to complete the game as it would spoil the "fun", but serves as a great guide to make sure you do not miss a thing, and get all four sickening endings. Big colourful pictures, clear instructions, detailed maps and all the secrets make this essential.
If you own a PS2 you must have this game, if you don't then buy a PS2 from Amazon and buy the game. Then get this guide.

Average okay book
Good day. When i got this book i was very happy. No doubt. I have completed the game in hard,nor,easy riddly mode and the same in action mode. Without this book. So why did i bought it? Well to get answers to my questions i got during play.

First was: Why are there these red circles marked on the map? like if you go to motohome and then to Nelys bar you'll see 2 red circles on your map. The guide dosnt say anything about this.

and two: The 'See Hidden Video Sequences' Well?? What hidden Video Sequences??? Not the DOG ending? If thats the only 'Hidden Video Sequences' i am really surprised. However in the book there is a note that sequences like when maria is in Heavens Bar (right?) can not be activated during play and so teh same to where Laura and Eddie sits near a car. But what about the Sequence where you ONLY see James carrying a 'body' of someone in the prison facility??? Nothing is mentioned about this. Grr!

that was all the negative part. The good thing about the book is that its printed superbly! No doubt! Pages looks good, its heavy (good thing). And overall the design of the book is superb. and so is the guide to play the game.

But the Secrets part fails. Shame.

Anyway. Good book. This book is only for newbies really. Thats my conclusion. Thanks for you time.
