Complex beauty
I’ve always seen Peter Murphy occupying the same niche as Nick Cave, John Cale, Leonard Cohen and Michael Gira of Swans. Not only are their voices similar, but there’s also a resemblance in the theme of their work. Indigo Eyes, Time Has Got Nothing To Do With It and All Night Long are brilliant songs with catchy melodies and poetic lyrics—they should all have been great hits. I like the other tracks too, but the arrangements and melodies can get very complicated and not all of them are what you could call “hummable.” Fans of the above-mentioned artists will do themselves a huge favor by buying this album.

You'd be hysterical not to love owning... Love Hysteria
This album is a truly awe inspiring piece of music, the melodies are indeed at times complex. But then that's part and parcel of this albums appeal... Not everyone wants simplistic songs... And this album delivers.

Peter Murphy and his other musical projects (diverse as they are) are never a let down, truly one album that you must own in your collection.

I was introduced to this album by the song 'indigo Eyes' and if that catches you... You'll love this album more and more with each listen...

Haunting and stylish
When Bauhaus split, haskins, Jay and Ash went West, Murphy went East. Whilst the first 3 became the succesful 'Love and Rockets', Murphy remained himself and eventually absorbed so much eastern influence that these days its hard to remember his origins. This album is from the period before this had happened. Indigo Eyes is a superb track, with neat breaks and stylish rifs aplenty. The covers are good and there still plenty more meat on the rest of the album's bones. If you're more familiar with recent Murphy material you should give this a try. Kicking tunes and neither a sitar nor a pentatonic note to be found.
