Amazon.co.uk Review
A traditional favourite given a new twist, Uno Extreme takes the classic card game of Uno to a dynamic new level.

The already fast and furious game has the potential to become even more frantic due to the motorised card launcher. In a normal game of Uno, a player who can't take their turn must pick up a card, adding to their hand and making their victory less likely since the object of the game is to get rid of all your cards before your opponents. In Uno Extreme, the stumped player must hit the button on the launcher and face their fate!

The system of penalties for those who are having trouble cutting down their cards ranges from generous to almost prohibitive, as each time the chunky button is hit, the effect is pretty random. The machine could choose to favour you by firing out no cards at all or it could scupper your chances of winning by firing out a round of many cards.

The motorised card launcher makes the game much more unpredictable, adds to the fun and excitement and means that players must sharpen their tactics even more!

A great family game which will guarantee hours of competitive fun. --Rachel Ediss

Great game, shame about the dealing machine5
I have always been a great fan of Uno and as my old pack was looking a bit warned I thought I'd go for an upgrade. Well the box turned up and it is huge. This is mainly because of the dealing machine, which requires 3xAA batteries.

First impressions are that the dealing machine is cheap and plasticy but it certainly isn't going to stand the test of time. The dealing machine has a botton on the front and the whole thing rotates easily to the person whose turn it is. If you have to pick up a card you press the button and the machine either gives you nothing (intentional) or fires cards at you in a random fashion.

Although this is potentially an excellent move for the game, the dealing machine is rubbish. It is suppose to deal between 2 and 8 cards randomly but this is not the case. It actually deals 6-10 cards at full velocity and all over the shop which means keeping your hand secret is impossible. The number of cards also depends on how many are left in the container, with just a few being dealt if the number of cards left is small. Problems include cards jamming and if your pack of cards start getting warn, dealing is even more hopeless. With so many cards being issued most of the time, people end up with hands of 15-20 cards without much left in the pack. And if you are playing with 6-8 players then you just run out of cards very quickly. Ideally the machine should be more controlled in it's dealing and have a random number between 2 and 8 but in a more controlled way so that if it wants to deal 8, it actually does so.

I was so hoping for this game to be excellent and, in a way it is. The idea is excellent and the new action cards spice things up a bit. The major let down is the dealing machine, which just ruins the whole thing. Mattel need to improve this, to make the perfect uno game. As for my copy, well it is winging it's way back to the shop !!

Competitive, hilarious and educational all in one game!4
I would recomend this game to any age group, because it is so easy to learn, even my five year old brother picked it up in next to no time. You do however need to buy batteries, but i have found that the game of uno has been greatly improved by the addition of the card dispenser, which makes the game unpredictable and exciting! (especially after a few drinks!)

A Good Improvement on the Old5
Uno Extreme is a definite improvement on the old version of Uno with just cards. The only real problem, is the dispenser. As I have played, the dispenser does occasionally get bunged up if you place too many cards in the machine, which can get annoying. You then have to take cards out, and keep pressing the button for more cards. Also, the dispenser does get a bit predictable after you have played for a while - firing cards every 3 or 4 presses. Enough of the negatives, Uno Extreme is a brilliantly fun party game or just round the table with family after dinner. You can make enemies and friends, and enjoy yourself for ages. That is, if you can make it work properly... :-)
