Snootch to the Nootch4
'Clerks: The Animated Series' is the cartoon TV show based on the 1995 Kevin Smith movie of the same name, that ran for a short period of time during 2000 (although was not shown in the UK until 2006). Each episode includes the four main characters from the movie(s) (Randal, Dante, Jay and Silent Bob) and follows events at and around the Quick-Stop, the convenience store where the lead characters work. The series features the voices of the original cast as well as a new villian, Leonardo Leonardo, voiced by Alec Baldwin.

If you enjoy shows like Family Guy, South Park and The Simpsons and have seen some of the films of Kevin Smith, then there is no doubting that you will love this show. Unfortunately there were only 6 episodes made (all of which are on this DVD) but the quality of each is so good that you are guaranteed to watch them over and over again. Each episode also has an introduction from Jay & Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith) which is equally hilarious as the shows themselves.

A quality show on a decent DVD package including some fairly good special features. Well worth importing, especially at it's low price, and is a must for any fan of Kevin Smith.

Family Guy fans will love this.....5
I ordered this set - alogside the original clerks movie - last week and I started watching the series on Monday. So far it's the only show I have ever seen that's made me laugh anywhere near as much as Family Guy, it's just hilarious! Each episode has an introdutcion by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, and there are loads of special features.

If you liked Clerks: the movie, get this. It's a chance to see more of Dante and Randall. However, don't expect to see a continuation of the movie: the series is a lot more off the wall, and less of an attempt to commentate on an aspect of day to day life than the film was. For this reason, if you didn't like Clerks the movie, then still buy the series, as it is a completely different sense of humour.

Snootchie Bootchies, Little Nootchies!5
A great cartoon. Six episodes produced for American TV, only two of which were aired before the series was pulled. Look for the references to "Family Guy" creator Seth McFarlane in Episode 6.

But just so we're clear on this: THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S CARTOON. Absolutely uh-uh. Any hapless parent who browsed "children's animation" and bought this title will be subject to a list of things that you CAN say on DVD that you couldn't on broadcast TV, delivered by a live-action Jay and Silent Bob between episodes. Use your imagination.

Just think: if Kevin Smith had continued doing THIS series instead of making "Jersey Girl" he wouldn't be forced to churn up the upcoming "Clerks II: Passion of the Clerks" to save his rep... >:D
