Average customer review:Product Description
Theme Park World aims to deliver a complete amusement-park experience. Players can build the coaster of their dreams, then ride it from a first-person perspective. From the same perspective, explore eight environments across four themes: Lost World, Halloween World, Space Zone and Wonder Land. There are hidden mini-games to discover, a new physics system and complete weather systems. Of course, you don't want to have all of the fun; watch how visitors react (both ecstatic and wobbly) to your rides. The 3-D characters are enhanced by a new skeletal animation system, complete with full facial animations. The interface was designed specifically for the Dual Shock 2 controller, and an interactive help system is there to help you get, uh, rolling.

Amazon.co.uk Review
Ever fancied being the owner of an Alton Towers or Disney World from the comfort of your own home? Well here's your chance thanks to those wonderful people at BullFrog software and the PlayStation 2.
Based on the PC title of the same name, the aim of the game is to build your dream park and keep it running, dealing with the day-to-day trials and tribulations of keeping the rides working and the punters happy. Strategy is all important here--place your burger stand too close to a rollercoaster entrance and the riders will stagger off the attraction and become "unwell" all over the floor. Too much salt on your chips and not enough fizzy pop results in parched visitors who vote with their feet and don't come back--this is not a game for those who like action fast and furious and pick up a game for a quick five minutes now and again.
The user interface is a joy to use, making Theme Park World easy to play; in tutorial mode an interesting park advisor pops up to give tips on what needs to happen, where and when. But it's in the rollercoaster design phase that things get interesting. Lay out the track for your ride in full 3D, then alter it in differing ways to produce a killer ride--corners can be banked, straights raised and lowered and sections can be added and removed to create the kind of white knuckle ride Walt and Mickey would be proud of, then, using the game's first-person mode check it out from the front seat for that impression of being there.
Successful park management results in golden tickets being awarded. Collect enough tickets and the player can progress to bigger and more challenging themed parks, each of which presents its own unique challenge.
The long-term attraction of this game is doubtful, and only significant playing will reveal whether the whole procedure will become a little samey, but for a break from the traditional arcade-style fare usually associated with the consoles, Theme Park World holds bags of promise and is a worthwhile investment for the more thoughtful PS2 owner.

Ride the attractions, play the mini-games and even explore your park from the first-person point of view. Sure, you've got a business to run but there is always time for a little fun and games. I recently bought this game. I was not expecting what I got. I have been hooked on it since I got it. There is so much variety. I started thinking my park was amazing. Since then I have drastically improved everything, looking in retrospect at my old park in disgust. While being tied up in the game I did not notice my improvements. This is the best game I have bought for the P2 (beating Tekken, SSX, Timesplitters and RRV). There is one problem - I've spent (not wasted) all my time on it - time well spent, though I haven't had time for much else. Take my advice - BUY IT NOW
TOP GAME
Theme park world is well worth the time, patience and money.
At the beginning you start off with the availability of only one theme park. Then you must build the park whatever way you want, starting from a customer toilet to high speed upside down rollercoasters, the supplies of rides are unlimited but you only have a certain amount of money. (Theres a little scottish helper in the corner of the screen who will start you off but sometimes he gets a bit annoying)There are many types of items to fill your park with including arcades, toilets, rollercoasters, restaurants, track rides and you can hire people to keep the park clean and repair any broken down rides. Once you have completed your park you can then open it to the public and thats when the real fun begins. From the on you can ride your own rollercoasters, have a go on your own games and explore and change things if any problems occur in your theme park. Between the creating and opening your park the little helper in the corner will award you golden tickets and once you've collected enough you will be able too enter other theme parks. All the theme parks creating and development is up to you; you even decide how much the food costs but you must keep your park clean and in a good state. AND OF COURSE THE CRUCIAL THING IS TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY.
I hope you enjoy playing it because I have and will continue too!
A welcome break from the old routine
All i've been doing for the last 6 months, is driving, shooting and punching. For a break, I decided to rent Theme Park to see what it was like. Now i own the game, and have spent entire days, sat with friends arguing over how much to charge for the fries, who to employ or what ride to build to generate the most money. Even my friend who has the old PC version admits that this is a lot more enjoyable and has more depth than the original. If you have the time and want to make the effort, give this a shot. If you have no patience and just want a quick adrenaline fix, look elsewhere.
