We have a real love-hate relationship with this new Game Boy Color game based on the animated film, Shrek--it's compelling, but frustrating. Here's the scenario. The object is to compete at a "comical fighting adventure" and ultimately win the title of Champion. Compete as the lovable ogre Shrek, or as one of several well-known fairy tale characters such as Pinocchio or the Big Bad Wolf. Parents be forewarned: initial fighting moves are confined to punches and kicks, but eventually players will use secret weapons such as farts and bad breath to beat their opponent. Features include three difficulty settings, a training mode and nine fighting arenas, plus six characters to play immediately and three more to unlock and play. Our testers found the first two levels very easy, but the third one extremely frustrating. They wanted to play the game, but repeatedly got beaten by their opponent. Also, it's a shame there's not more of an adventure to play, with activities to do besides fighting.

This game is really cool,i looked for a new game for my GBC and i had seen the movie Shrek,so i bought the game.The game is colorfull,and a real platformer,its just as good as the movie.Buy it!
