Amazon.co.uk Review
This is an excitingly funny game for 2-4 players aged 6 years plus. Each player has a mouse and moves round the board on the throw of the dice. Moving round the board you follow the instructions on the space you land on and along the way build the contraption.

The contraption has a crank and a bucket, a helping hand and bowling ball, a "thing-a-ma-jig" and a diver, as well as a wash tub and a cage. The cage is to catch the mice, but first you must build it. As you whizz around the board, you build it piece by piece landing on the "build" spaces. (You also collect cheese pieces when you land on the cheesy spaces--all will become clear.)

When it has been built you then traverse the loop until you land on the "turn crank" space--this is when you get to have a go. If there is a mouse on the big cheese, you turn the crank; if there isn't a mouse on the cheese, you can buy one with the cheese you collected on the way round the board.

Next, you turn the crank... that kicks the marble... that rolls down the chute... that moves the hand... that drops the ball in the tub... that flips the diver... into the pool... that triggers the cage... that catches the mouse GOTCHA! The last mouse left uncaptured wins. This game is fantastic family fun. --Ben King

a family favorite for many years & will be for many more ..5
mousetrap is a game i remember playing when i was little. myself and friends always enjoyed it very much indeed. it takes a little setting up - then its all systems go once the action starts!! the newer version is perhaps not as good quality as the original but it is certainly worth the money and i would recommend it to anyone. you'll have fun!!

Not the best of games for young children3
Well, I've played it, and it's admittely very fun to play. However, it's also a pain in the neck. Young children, who are realistically the only ones going to enjoy the game, are also going to either break it or not put it together successfully. There's about 50 parts, which is 50 ways that the system can go wrong. Most of them are plastic so the amount of problems that can be caused is immense. If your children enjoy it, then budget for buying another copy of the game every couple of months.

Mummy, can you mend it?3
This game's big drawback is that it is incredibly flimsy - vital parts had broken within a couple of days and they are not easy to mend, even with superglue. It was fun while it lasted, but not good value for money.
