An excellent collection of all the FF music from the PSOne
So for those who don't know, Final Fantasy S Collection is music from the Sony Playstation games, hence the S for Sony.
On this CD you will find an amazing collection of orchestral and piano music all taken from various Final Fantasy albums some of which are not yet available to many people in the UK (well not very easily anyway). This CD contains the best of the best from the Playstion Final Fantasy games, there is "Aeris' theme" in it's full dramatic glory which this time has been performed by a full orchestra similarly the atmospheric "One Winged Angel" (final Sephiroth battle which you use all of your party not just Cloud) has been reworked into an amazing song complete with orchestra and choir. For fans of FFVIII there is the astounding "Liberi Fatali" (the opening theme) and "Ami" the calm theme played when you are the gardens but this time beautifully remastered for the piano. And for those who adored Squares final PSOne installment of the FF series - FFIX, we have the fabulous "Melodies of Life" sung by Emiko Shiratori, and the fast paced Chocobo Hot and Cold music "Vamo' Alla Flamenco" which has been reworked into an amazing piano piece.
In all, there are 16 tracks taken from various orchestral and piano albums based on Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9. These truly are outstanding tracks and if you haven't got hold of any of these songs already it really is worth your cash. Trust me you won't be dissappointed.
Absolute Gem!
A gem is simply the only way to describe this CD! It's absolutely amazing and the pride of my CD and Final Fantasy collections. Most of the tracks are arrangements of the originals, but in many cases it just makes them better. The vocal-free piano version of Eyes On Me is nothing short of beautiful and tracks like the FFVII main theme, The Oath (FFVIII) and Aeris's theme give off so much more of an impact then they did in the games. Liberi Fatali (FFVIII) and One-Winged Angel (FFVII) are both great pieces for blasting out at full volume, whilst tracks like Ami (FFVIII) are great to relax to. In short; if you like Nobuo Uematsu's work then you can't go wrong with this album. Buy it. Buy it now.
Amazing!!!!!
This really is an amazing CD. Although the music is mostley arranged versions of previous tracks, they are some of the most beautiful music I have heard. Being a collector of all things final fantasy, I was unsure of this CD at first. But the first time I listened to it I fell in love with the beauty of the music. Tracks such as Aeris's theme are beautifully arranged and sound wonderful. The piano version of eyes on me is beautiful, and great to sing along to (if you like doing that sort of thing)and melodies of life is absolutly gorgeous. The lyrics are amazing (I can speak Japanese) and the tune is almost instantly familiar. I suggest any fan of final fantasy buys this CD, at such a reasonable price how can you refuse?!?!
