Based on the all-new movie from the creators of Toy Story 2 and A Bug's Life, this game allows you to participate in the adventures of Boo, who has accidentally returned to Monstropolis, and Sulley, who must get her home safely. Unfortunately, the pesky Randall is aware of the situation and has shredded Boo's door in an attempt to stop them. Will you help Sulley get Boo home? You'll explore 10 huge levels of Monstropolis, including bonus minigames and puzzles. A random map generator creates a different game every time. You can use Sulley's roar attack or the dreaded laugh launcher to avoid enemies and bosses. The intuitive control system includes an in-game map display, so you always know where you are.

Amazon.co.uk Review
If you're into Monsters, Inc. you'll love this game, a colourful and child-friendly offering which brings the characters from the Pixar/Disney blockbuster to a PlayStation 2 near you. First things first: this is the same as the PSone game, though with enhanced graphics; the extra bang for your PS2 pound comes in the shape of DVD extras, such as movie clips and trailers, a "making of" feature and a slideshow of concept art for the film.
The aim of the game is simple enough: progress through the levels by scaring a set number of robotic children ("nerves") and collecting your standard platform currency--coins. The game itself is a movie tie-in, but not a game of the movie; the plot doesn't follow the film's at all, instead pursuing Mike and Sulley's training at the Monsters, Inc. Scare Academy. Each level is presented more as a puzzle rather than a story progression; clips from the movie are included in between levels, but they don't really bear any relevance to the action at your fingertips. The gameplay uses elements from Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie and Spyro the Dragon: jump, spin, bounce--all your standard platform moves are here. However, this isn't a bad thing, as kids will love it. It's a fun, not overly complicated platformer, which does its job; if however you want an original gaming experience then maybe this isn't for you.--Laurent S Hall

monsters inc scare island
monsters inc is a cool game probably designed more for kids (im 22) but still its good fun and can take a while to finish brilliant graphics and loads of scenes from the film good fun game for the price of it, suitable and entertaining for any age
GOOD FUN
The game has excellent graphics and is good fun, suitable for all ages. It's not as easy as you first image yet it can get a little frustrating at times. I personally can't stop playing it. It's certainly worth spending the money and having a great laugh.
One for kids (big and small)
This is actually quite a good game with a good concept, and though the graphics don't really push the limits of the PS2, I think we'd be missing the point if we didn't give it a try because of that. The game itself is full of fun, and because its based on the film will be familiar to all those little-big kids who have watched it!
The little tykes will love it, and it's probably worth buying just to have them relax for a while and scare some robotic kids half out their wits..
