A haunting and beautiful piece.
I think that Thomas Newman, the composer of this excellent soundtrack, is seriously underrated. His music for "American Beauty", I thought was worthy of an Oscar. The tones of the music here are complimentary to the film's powerful message. There are three pieces from the Newark Balkan Chorus which are both haunting and sincere and one of them "Zeni Me, Mamo" is a lovely passionate piece. I thought the film was amazingly powerful and wonderfully played by all involved. I think Thomas Newman's music provides a haunting and darkly beautiful companion piece to the story. Deserves a listen.
