A tactical gameplay system will encourage players to react quickly and be strategic with their selection of characters, weaponry and combat moves. Over 30 levels per character will challenge each member of the Fellowship, bringing the grand total to over 120 levels in the entire game. Surprisingly great
Finally, a game with a massive license is actually good. Very good indeed. In fact, I would go as far as to say you would struggle to find a better action/adventure game on the GBA.
Graphicly, its very polished. From the gobsmacking good quality of the movie footage at the beginning of the game to the well animated and detailed sprites of Gandalf & co, Lord of the Rings: Two Towers is a pleasure to look at. The well drawn scenery changes as the story progresses, through forests, underground mines and snowy mountains and you feel like you could almost be there in Middle Earth.
The music is also top-notch. Dragged kicking and screaming straight from the movie and squeezed into the tiny GBA sound department it ranges from upbeat battle music to all emotional in all the sad parts. Then there is the LOTR theme tune, done brilliently by the GBA. It make you just want to get up, grab your kitchen knife and go on your own adventure in the quest for orcs. Its easy to get carried away...
Most importantly though, the game plays really well. Never frustrating, never unfair, it moves along at a good pace, full of action and exploration. Add to that some RPG elements of obtaining new equipment and skills and 5 playable characters with separate quests taking in different environments and aspects of the story and you've got a tough, long lasting game that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre, the films, and anyone who appreciates decent quality games where you can feel the effort that has been put into it.
The two towers: definatey worth buying!
The lord of the rings: the two towers, is abrilliant new game boy advance game. Its so good, because the graphics are fantastic. The orks, the snow and the scenery are blissful. Then there's the challenging play. You'll be up to your brains in orks right from the start, offering challenging play for gamers. A variety of items can be equipped to your character to improve their fighting techniques and to advance through the game. There are great worlds to explore, orks to kill and loads of items to find. The only bad pionts a gamer might find are that the game is not easy and that there may be too many enemys. But the game is really a must have, the fantastic multiplayer mode topping it off. Fight through middle earth along side your fiends on this. Overall, the game is amazing, so grab your pens and beg santa for a copy.
best ever!!
this game was amazing. I was worried about buying it because the first one was not very good but when I began I was totally hooked. It took me ages to work everything out and there are some things that I still can't do yet but that is the fun of this game, you could keep going for ages and not get bored! Anyone who hasn't got this, I would definatly recomend it!!!!
