Customer Reviews
Does not work on Windows XP!
I bought this game, hoping to play it on Windows XP, only to find that while it says that it's Windows XP-compatible on the box, Focus software's own official web site says that the program is *not* Windows XP compatible. And sure enough, it won't work, even using the Windows Compatability Wizard. If you've got Windows XP, avoid!
Windows XP - No problem
As the lead PC coder working on this game, I have to correct the previous review's statement that Drome Racers is incompatible with Windows XP. Indeed, most of the machines that we developed the game upon were running Windows XP at the time we wrote it. I suggest therefore, that the problem that previous reviewer had was specific to their particular PC and not a problem with Windows XP in general.
Even today, Drome Racers is a fun game to play and at the very least worthy of a trial play - though the character animation in the menus is as bad as I remember it and isn't something that we can be proud of. Good racer though.
