Amazon.co.uk Review
Who would have thought a new Game Boy Color game, based on an anime series, could be this original and fun for all ages? Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! is a surprisingly good game. You play as Hamtaro, a cute hamster, and your mission is simple: bring 12 of your Ham-Ham (or hamster) friends back to the Ham-Ham clubhouse, where Boss--the head hamster--has a surprise for everyone.

But how do you convince your Ham-Ham friends to come back with you to the clubhouse? With Ham-Chat, the secret hamster language around which the whole game revolves. Each new Ham-Chat word lets you perform new actions. You can say hi to other hamsters, apologise to them, or compliment them. You can also learn special words that allow you to perform special actions, such as digging holes, doing summersaults, or climbing. But the best part of Ham-Chat is that each word is associated with a move, so when you go to the clubhouse's dance room, you can link your Ham-Chat words together and Ham-Jam. With a link cable, you can trade your dance with friends.

You can buy 30 different outfits for Hamtaro and try stuff on back at the clubhouse. You can take a photo that can be displayed in the room and on the title screen and as you play the game, new places within Hamtaro's neighbourhood become accessible. All of this makes a great game that children will love, especially those who are fans of the show. Some adults may find it too cute to resist, too. --Bryan Karsh

Rodents are on game boy colour!4
I bought this item when it was brand new, but I had no idea nintendo would ever create a game about hamtaro! Hamtaro:Ham hams unite is ideal for younger children because it isn't violent, and it developes reading skills since of the secret hamster language called ham chat (the hamsters use it in conversations.)And for a game boy colour, the graphics are pretty impressive.Older children may not be interested at first like me, but the game gets alot better when you discover different places to visit, different hamsters to meet and even more ham chat.It is very easy at first to play , but gets harder to master when you get deeper into the game(I needed a guide to complete it!)Overall this is a excellent game for children and adults because there are some funny jokes that the kids won't understand. The only thing that I found boring is it gets on your nerves when you can't complete something.

This game is such a Sparklie to Minglie! (delight, play)5
... this is such a cute and fun game. If you love the series, this game will appeal to you. It's a game of exploration. You have 6 places to explore (7 if you count the clubhouse). They are Acorn Shrine, Sunflower Park, Sky Garden, Sunflower Elementary, Ruins and Sunflower Market.
The main object of the game is to find the all the Ham Hams cos Boss wants them all in the clubhouse! In order to do this, you need to learn Ham Chat. There are 85 words to find. You find these by chatting to various HamHams. If that's not enough, there is a little side game called Ham Jam where you use the Ham Chat (each word has a small action to go with it) to dance to the songs! Sunflower seeds are the currrency so you can buy clothes at the Ham Boutique! And finally, you have to collect rocks to open up a secret.
This is a sweet little game. It's very easy at the beginning but it does get a little harder. I suggest this game to younger players (or Hamtaro fans)
