Amazon.co.uk Review
If you want a great listening experience at home, at work or on the move the IXOS MOS1006 compact headphones could be the perfect answer. They may not provide the absolutely perfect sound reproduction craved by purists but for casual listening they offer things more expensive headphones can't. Built around a closed back 40mm driver and featuring Ministry of Sound's M Bass technology they produce more than enough volume. The clarity is fantastic for such a compact design (largely thanks to the bigger drivers) and the M Bass livens up the bass a great deal.
With a frequency response starting at 20 Hz and peaking at 20 kHz, they don't have the range of more expensive headphones, but it's more than adequate for home or casual use. The maximum input power of 400 mW is more than enough. The headphones have a sensitivity of 101 dB at 1 mW and come with a 1.5 metre cable and 3.5 mm gold plated jack.
Sound quality and power are good, the looks are great and the padded ear cushions make the headphones comfortable to wear for long periods. There are a couple of minor gripes about the design: firstly, the slide adjustable sides have a tendency to slip as you put them on or take them off. Secondly, the current design has a wire coming from each headphone, which can get tangled when you take them off. A single side wire and a wire-mounted volume control would be better. Gripes aside, this is a great set of headphones that you can use in any situation. --Nick Baxter

'phones.
I bought them to replace the frankly appallingly constructed Apple iPod headphones (which fall apart alarmingly regularly so don't buy into them).
I must say these headphones offer reasonable sound quality, handle bass pretty well and certainly block out a lot of the outside sounds of working in an office or public transport.
The cable is a decent length.
I must say on the downside, they are quite plasticy but to be honest for £20 I'm not expecting gold and if you're like me and listen to music for long periods of the day/night, they might become a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Also, they don't really grip onto your head particularly well so if you take one off and move it in front of your ear to speak to someone/answer the phone etc, then they slide down your face.
Overall though for £20 I don't think you can really go too far wrong with these headphones.
Digital Headphones to Die For
Very comfortable? Most certainly . Good Quality sound reproduction? Definatley. Is the price right? it's an absolute steal.
Disappointing
The phrase "you get what you pay for" really is true. I chose these because of the reputation of IXOS. However, it turns out that is not enough. The sound quality is acceptable though I have heard better on equally priced headphones. But what really lets these down is the light-weight, plastic design. Not to mention the fact that at its smallest head-size setting it only just fits my head. They are too big for my wife to wear at all. I really didn't want to pay a lot for headphones because I knew I would use them infrequently, but I wish now I had at least doubled my budget.
