A Great Gaming Adaption of A Movie Masterpiece
When Jurassic Park came out I was amazed by the genius of the movie, the fantasy and realism, i was hooked. So when i saw this game although a while later, i thought I'd buy it. Basically in the game you start off with an empty island. You then have to build your island from scratch, starting with an entrance, paths etc with the money you start off with, then you open your park and visitors come and pay, the more money you make, the better you can make your park, you then have to send diggers out to find new dna samples to research and therefore create dinosaurs which you breed and enclose on your island. You are resposible for everything in the park, feeding the dinosaurs, employing staff, even sedating dangerous dinosaurs by shooting them from an helicopter. The better your park is the more satisfied visiotors will be and the better reviews, income and star rating your park will earn. Disasters such as T-Rex rampages and tropical storms will happen and you have to act fast in an emergency to ensure you dont lose control of the park. The graphics are really great in this game and the dinosaurs are very realistic, you can zoom in and watch your dinos and visitors at any time, the building facilities offer many great ideas to make your park interesting and its great fun when you research a new dinosaur to 100% and get to breed it and introduce it to the park, especially the dangerous carnivores like T-Rex and Spinosaurus, dinosaurs consist of herbivores and carnivores and you have to enclose them accordingly, dangerous dinosaurs must be fed with live animals and be kept an eye on in secure fencing. You can create tour rides in the jurassic park explorer vehicle which you can drive or take a hot-air baloon ride around the park and take photos of your dinosaurs to sell and make more money. Your visitors also consist of different types such as fun lovers, nerds, nature lovers, who all get satisfied by different aspects of your park, so you need to put though into your park to keep them all happy, for example a fun lover would like to watch a carnivore eating a live goat so you need to build facilities so they can see this up close, you can check on each visitor in your park, what they think and how many dinosaurs they have seen since they arrived, it is quite complex and you need to think with this game. Although there are fun aspects and extra features where you can do different types of missions in a ready made park such as hunt down 10 T-Rex's that have broke loose and are rampaging round the park and you will have to fly your helicopter find them, sedate them, then move them to safety. The game as alot of great fun features to keep you involved for hours, the only downfall is once you have built your park and earned alot of money and a five star rating which takes a bit of time but not ages, theres kind of nothing else to do but just watch over your park so I feel it could have gone on for longer but its a really fun game with great scenery and graphics. If you like creating and building games then buy this it is a great version but if you like alot of action shoot em up games then its not really for you. Overall: A suprisingly good fun and creative game to play and look at 9/10

Fun in all thr right places
Now if your like me you like these types of build your own world games like Sim City, or Theme Park, but now these are getting a little to same old same old. nothing new has come to our selves to breathe new life into this dying genre. but then Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis arrives.

This game is brillent and it lets you build your own Jurassic Park and run it with visitors and all. You can build the famous visitor centre, have T-Rexs roaming the wilds of your park land.

It all starts with one island and then you begin to build. as you go through the game you research new DNA and also your men discover new fossils and then with these you get bigger and better dinosuars to wow your visitors.

This does add some great gameplay as everything is not there to start with. When everthing is up and running and things seem to be going smoothly somehting happens. Oh no the T-Rex has broken lose. Run to the helicopter and up you go, souding the alram to all the screaming visitors who run for cover. up in the helicopter you hunt down the lose dinosaures and then dart them.

Also you can spend hours watching the dinosaures interact with each other, some figthing others keeping in heards like in real life. they actually are intelligent. But it is not just all focused on the dinosaures you research new better attrcations and those rides around the park in jeeps to bring more people to the park.

But one thing i have noticed is that you need not have any fantstaic dinosaures to bring visitors or any brillent attractions. but it is saved as it is fun to make them.

The reason why you shoudl part with your cash is that it is not just a economic park builder like Theme Park, it is not all centred around money but this is set around the dinosaures. And being able to own your very own Jurassic Park is preety cool. If you like the movies then you'll love this for sure. if you don't then maybe you still should get it as it is great fun.
BUT IT NOW OR REGRET IT LATER!

This is the ultimate Theme Park game! Build your your very own Jurassic Park and fill it with the Dinosaurs you want! The game is very engrossing and can take up hours of your life. Admittedly there is so much to do and keep an eye on so you better be multi skilled! Build everything from rubbish bins to high security fences to Tyrannosaurs'. Dinosaurs will act according to nature. Carnivores get mad from time to time and you need to sedate them beore they rampage! Stick a herbivore in with a carnivore and see what happens!!!! It takes a while to get into and you need some serious revenue to build bigger and better dinosaurs, but saying that you have to excavate fossil sites first and buy fossils on the market to research a sufficient percentage of the genome! See lots to do!! Patience is the watch word here, but be assured as soon as you have enough Dinosaur genomes and research enough rides things become interesting! Only buy this if you have patience.
