Product Description

There are strange happenings in Springfield. People are missing, very mysterious crop circles are appearing and hidden cameras are being exposed. When Homer notices a black van with a satellite dish parked outside the Simpsons house, he decides to investigate further into these odd events. What he reveals could be the biggest mystery to rock Springfield since Who Shot Mr Burns?

The Simpsons Hit & Run promises a hilarious mission-based driving game with exciting out-of-the-car platform gameplay, the signature satire of The Simpsons and the interactive world of Springfield.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Up to now The Simpsons games have been nothing if not consistent: they've all been completely rubbish. However, The Simpsons: Hit & Run thankfully breaks this 100 per cent record, and although it's hardly a classic in its own right it's just the thing for fans who want to worship their favourite characters through the medium of the joypad.

Like many of the more recent Simpsons games Hit & Run is primarily a racing game--a racing game that's very obviously using Grand Theft Auto as its primary inspiration. There's less swearing and gore but just as much running people over and driving lots of different vehicles. You can't steal them off the street, admittedly, and the missions are presented in a much more linear fashion, but otherwise this is GTA: Springfield through and through.

Somewhat embarrassingly for GTA the on-the-foot sections are actually handled rather better than Rockstar's game, with a fairly non-rubbish camera and a decent control system that actually makes the occasional platform sections rather fun.

Most of the game is about driving, though, whether it be racing Principle Skinner to school in order to give Lisa her homework or helping Bart buy some illegal fireworks from around town. It's only when controlling underage characters like Bart that the game's concept really starts to seem peculiar (he only drives unmotorised vehicles) but otherwise the addition of all the proper voice actors from the TV show make this the first Simpsons game ever that is in any way worthy of a purchase. --David Jenkins

Most awsome game ever!5
This is one of the best games I have ever played! You can play as Apu, Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Bart! You can roam around, take peoples cars, collect special cards for a surprise, collect games and buy new clothes and cars, and do missions for people! You can even start beating people up! There loads of movies to unlock and watch! It even has multiplayer! What more can you ask for?

Crazy, unpredictable. exciting gameplay4
I just recieved this game along with a gamecube for Christmas and I have not stoped playing it since. The dialog is witty and sharp and their are many references to previous episodes. The graphics are a bit blocky but don't hold that against it. This game is an absolute must for all simpsons fanes like me. I strongly recommend it.

Excellent title ... but....4
The game is a little awkward at times...

let me tell you the good things about this game... and the reasons why i bought it:

It is about as close to GTA your going to get on a GC.
It has 4-Player capability
it has loads of sub games and other stuff..
and been rated best simpsons game ever... now:

It is funny with witty remarks from most of the "townspeople" and most of the remarks from the main playable characters where taken from Road Rage.. but there are some new phrases in there as well...
The control system is very good and the graphics are stunning... the game invloves you doing these missions some hard some easy, some on foot the other in car.. they range from picking something up and dropping it off somwhere to races.

The levels are quite big.. and there are a lot of crazy jumps to do hear and there... but it is a little to easy to pick up money to buy bonus stuff (cars / clothes).
but the main dissapointment for me was the fact that you have to unlock the multiplayer by finding these collector cards in all the levels there are only 7 to find in each level and I can normally find 6 with ease... the levels are big I have been everywhere on foot and car trying to look for it... I looked so hard and so much that i kept getting bored and turned the console off...

But apart from that the game is pretty good. has a few flaws in it but it is still good... I reccomend to any Simpsons fan to get it, once you have unlocked the multiplayer you will notice that the game has a lot of replay value. more then any other Simpsons game that has been released.
