Product Description

In SWAT: Global Strike Team, you are Mathias Kincaid, a former member of the US Army's elite Delta Force turned SWAT: GST element leader. The elaborate storyline focuses on you and your two team mates--Tomi Ono, a veteran sniper and Anthony "AJ" Jackson, expert technical specialist. After assuming control of Kincaid, your objective is to command Ono and Garrett through several diverse missions while maintaining the tactical upper hand over your opponent. This means using the environment, the latest gear, the most advanced weaponry, the element of surprise and anything else you can get your hands on.

Using the full capabilities of your other two team mates is essential to mission success. In one mission, for example, you are given the task of eliminating a number of suicide bombers, which requires the use of the sniper to immobilise the suspects and the tech expert to diffuse the bomb. Command Tomi and Jackson by issuing orders using either the intuitive controller interface or the optional voice recognition system. This allows your team to move quickly and effectively, making even complex manoeuvres easy to perform. The optional microphone takes advantage of the expansion slot on the Xbox controller or the USB port on the PS2.

SWAT: GST is fully accessible to those who are new to the first-person genre, offering both Beginner and Advanced control systems. There's also the choice of Career or Arcade mode. Career mode follows Kincaid and his team from basic training through five chapters (21 missions) linked by a powerful storyline. Gamers can also team-up with a friend and battle through 10 multiplayer-only co-op missions. If working together isn't their speciality, they can choose the Deathmatch option and fight head-to head.

SWAT - Arcade style shooter with team elements4
All in all not a bad game, it has smooth graphics. It is a team based first person shooter (can use USB headset to issue commands) with loads of levels (different levels depending on 1 or 2 player). You can just blast your way through every level (kind of defeats the object) or you can supress the criminals through near miss shots and shouts of "SWAT, drop your weapon", that way you get the points and the medals.

swat good but could be better3
swat global strike team is a gr8 game, its gameplay is brilliant and firing away at criminals and leaping through doors is fun, lobbing grenades through a crack in the door and listening to cries or choking(depending on which grenade you use)of your enemys is very satisfying. However it has its bad points

1.your choice of weapons is very small
2.you must choose who you are going to be before the mission-being able to change squad members during the mission would have been a nice touch
3.it is really repetitive
4.no storyline

all in all good gameplay but I would say rent not buy

Quality Arcade Shooter5
SWAT:GST is a great FPS game, similar to Rainbow Six 3, but a lot easier to get in to because it's more of an Arcade style. You can not only kill bad guys, you can also force them to surrender and then arrest them. You can control your team mates using a the conrol pad or headset!

The graphics are sharp and realistic looking, the missions are varied as they are based all over the world and have different objectives. There are 21 levels + 10 levels you can play with a friend + deathmatch levels!
