For the price, its brilliant.
There are better and more expensive hoovers out there compared to this one, but having used it for the first time, it does everything I want it to do. Its light and easy to carry around and it found dust and fluff that my upright (bagged) hoover had missed. Its easy to operate and empty and can be used both on hard floors and carpets. The only negative bit is that the attachment holder which is located on the hose, does bang into the doors and walls when using it. Would like to remove this from the hose, but as yet haven't found a way of doing it. Apart from that, for the price would recommend this to anyone who has a small to medium size flat or house. Also for those that are conscious about not disturbing their neighbours, its also quiet to use.

Finally tempted to buy a dyson due to the price that amazon are currently offering on the DC05. Whilst there are newer Dyson's on the market, this product still does the job you want it to do with plenty in reserve.
I am sad enough to admit that this product whilst not as revolutionary as Sky+ as items that will change your life, this Dyson does at least does give you the satisfaction that if you've got to do the cleaning chores that it will be done right first time.
A superb product but I could never forgive myself for giving a vacuum cleaner five stars, life is too short for that....

I read the reviews which were all positive and this led me to buying the Dyson. In the future I would be sceptical about any review I read. I would not be given this particular model of Dyson for free let alone actually buy one. I am not a strong person but I am certainly not a weakling by any means, so after reading that it was 'light weight' I wasn't impressed to find that it actually wasn't. It is also a nightmare to store. The attachments repeatedly bang your legs as you vacuum and I've noticed today that the wire is splitting. A friend asked if I would recommend it after seeing mine, I have advised her to buy another type of Dyson but certainly not this particular model.
