Starring Hudson's legendary Bomberman character and a host of his explosive-toting cohorts, Bomberman Kart pits its cast against each other in a high-speed racing scenario. Spanning 16 circuits and boasting five playable characters, players must ensure their racer is the first past the post by whatever means necessary. To this end, a series of weapons can be collected during the course of the race, including missiles, turbo boosts and the old Bomberman favourite: cherry bombs!

Bomberman Kart also includes huge array of game modes. In addition to the no-holds-barred Grand Prix mode, the Battle Mode encourages racers to KO their opponents in a classic 'last man standing' challenge, while the Time Attack mode uses a ghost rider that is updated every time a lap record is broken. Additional modes also include the off-road Challenge Game, the supersonic-themed Speed Race and a multitude of sub-games in the Random Challenge section, where four players are invited to compete.

Bomberman Kart is a real throw back.
Since i got rid of my Snes and N64 and moved onto the PS2 i have been looking for a game like Mario Kart. This is it, they have used all the good points from the old gems in this. The weapons are the same and the format of the races is similar also. They have also included the original Bomberman arcade game in with this title and for those like me who use to waste thier coins to play it, well it brings back memories. I love the game and will have lots of fun playing head to head with my friends. Maybe win a few pounds, if im lucky.

Best alternative to Mario Kart available
This game is the best alternative to Nintendo's Mario Kart game produced so far. The Playstation 2 is a little short of quality karting games, which are fun to play and enjoyable for all ages, and the only other viable game is Crash Team Racing, which is a little slow, and the weapons are disappointing.

This game, however, features a large range of characters, a good choice of weapons, large selection of tracks to race on, and includes the excellent arcade version of Bomberman, which brings back a hell of a lot of memories.

Buy this game to play the best PS2 karting game, made even better in mulitplayer mode.

Takes me back to my youth
OK so I am not that old but I have missed the fun that Mario Kart used to provide me on my Nintendo. Having left all that behind when I bought my Playstation and subsequently my PS2 something has been missing in my life.

Thanks to the producers of this game my life is once again complete (well nearly) and I can happily play away on a karting game to my hearts content.

As an added bonus this game includes the original arcade hit Bomberman which I must confess missed me by in the arcade but has got me and my missus hooked.

This game is a steal for the price especially considering you get two great games into the bargain. Highly recommended
