fantastic but sometimes annoying5
OK the annoying thing is how far back you end up going sometimes when your killed, but then this does add to the gameplay in certain ways, as your compelled to get through. If only they let you save it when you want.

Nonetheless a fantastic game whith so many in-game scenarios, from the russian winter to the african sun and the final bridge! intermixing levels from driving tanks and to being a gunner on a jeep to house/bunker/bridge/tower clearing.

Great gameplay, but why so short?4
World war 2 games are a favourite of mine and I bought this on day of release and instantly was impressed with the graphics, you start off in Stalingrad and I was amazed at the amount of action happening on screen. As a Russian soldier you and your fellow soldiers progress through 8 not too difficult levels (I played on medium setting) sometimes on foot othertimes in a tank. Then you move into Africa playing a Brit and there is an increase in difficulty here, but unfortunately only 4 Africa levels! whats going on did we not play as large a role in the war as the USA and Russia. Saying that I did get stuck on the last level in Africa so it did take a while. Then you move onto the western front, seven levels, some of which you have to escort a vehicle safely through the level, which can be frustrating, other levels you drive a tank which I really enjoyed. And thats it, 19 levels which is why it only gets 4 stars, the game is too short, and with no medals to win or stats at all there is no point going back over the levels, which is annoying. So to summarise I can recommend this game there are some fantastic levels to play, with loads going on around you, but do not expect to be playing it for too long. Enjoy it while it lasts!

a real challenge to the MOH series5
the success of the game lies in its ability to convey the raw feelings of war ot the player: eg youre in stalingrad when a formation of luftwaffe bombers fly over dropping bombs and causing mayhem - brilliant touch and a genuine feeling of invasion! Likewise, when escorting tanks through the ruins of france and clearing houses - you get a real impression of guerrilla warfare within the rubble. the game is fast paced and difficult at times. If you're after a game that combines classic shoot 'em up (with lots of carnage at times) as well as real attention to detail and knowledge of WWII put into the production - look no further!
