Amazon.co.uk Review
When a game is delayed as long as Juiced it rarely bodes well for the end product. The delay seems especially unfortunate in this case it’s meant the game has been beaten to the starting line by similar titles such as Need for Speed: Underground 2 and Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.

Juiced is, like the other games mentioned, a street racer and has the same obsession with customising your car with both performance mods and after-market cosmetic alterations (all of which are based on real products). 7.5 trillion combinations are apparently possible, although you’ll have to trust THQ’s maths on that as its doubtful they’ve counted them personally.

What is truly unique about Juiced though is your ability to recruit and organise a team of your own racers. Special crew races are possible and you can control your team members in-race, in a similar manner to the B-spec mode in Gran Turismo 4. The show-off trick challenges are also a neat addition and a welcome alternative to the standard races.

Although it has some interesting features there are still some notable problems with Juiced, particularly in terms of the handling which is disappointingly simplistic and an uncomfortable halfway house between the likes of Gran Turismo and Ridge Racer. The artificial intelligence of rival drivers is also weak and outside of the more exotic game modes the game treads very similar ground to its rivals. As long as you’re not expecting anything too original though this is still a very competent racer. -- Harrison Dent

Manufacturer's Description
Juiced is the only racing simulation that totally immerses you in the lifestyle and culture of the real street modding scene.

Starting as a new kid on the block, with not even a set of wheels to your name, your aim is to build up your own crew of 'driving gods' and dominate the established street racing scene of Angel City.

By showing off your modding and driving skills, you'll gain 'Respect' from the rival crew chiefs, and will soon be invited to their race events, challenge them to race 'for pinks' and bet against them for cash. As your notoriety grows, new drivers will ask to join your crew, opening up the never before seen 'crew races' where your skills at managing your drivers while you race are key to beating your rival crews.

Handling and Speed are everything, & this delivers them5
Career modes and the amount of cars mean nothing to me in a racing game, it's about the driving sensation, no amount of fluff can hide bad driving sensation, Midnight Club 3 is a perfect example of fluff, but alas Juiced has come to save us from such games.

Juiced has really suprised me and now I've been playing it a while, I'd go as far as to say it's one of the best Racing games ever made for the Xbox, played in custom race mode or online just for the pleasure of racing it doesn't get any better than this.
The track design in this game is superb, the tracks are a joy to race, and the car handling (without mods) is fantastic, It's a bit too 'Burnout' with the mods, without mods they are more 'sim' like and more challenging, I like the way you can take bends at speed and feel the actual angle your front tyres are pointing at and whether you are going to lose it or not, you can even feel your front wheels turning into the skid to correct it, something that in most other games just causes you to spin around.

The engine sounds are really meaty and agressive, and actually sound like real cars, the game has 9 different areas set in a fictional city, 4 tracks in each, and also a point to point and a drag tracks, all regular races can be raced backwards. The graphics in the daytime are simply gorgeous, although having said that, at night time they look terrible, SRS and NFS have got the night time look down to perfection, not so here.

I'm surprised this game has some half hearted reviews here at Amazon, although I know that on the other two formats the game is terrible, but on Xbox it's a real winner, if you like fast and fun arcade racing with spot on handling this title is a must.

Juiced Is Very Juicy (Yes Its That Good)5
Juiced Is a racing game different in style to Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition. Firstly Juiced Is a track racing game with a nice twist to it. You place bets on either you to win a race or if you chose not to enter a race you can bet on a certain car to win, this is quick way to make lots of money to progress through the game. The graphics are very good; as is the ingame soundtrack hip hop, dance and drum and bass. Their are loads of cars to buy and mod up too. Although the game has a very arcade feel to it and is not as fast as Dub 3 its a game you can rearly get in to. Each time you race you earn respect points or lose respect points which enable you to race for pink slips, money or other rewards. If you have Midnight Club 3 buy this too; you wont regret it!

A high quality racing release....4
I own a fair amount of racing games on the x-box, including Midnight Club 3. To be fair I was a little apprehensive about this due to the fact that Midnight club is such a comprehensive and fun car modding/racing title and did I need another? The short answer is, once I owned it, yes! The game is a great variation on MC3 with a less throwaway arcade style of handling and a more enclosed track selection. The game is bold, colourful and technically superb in its presentation with some fantastic lens flare and road surface effects. Crucially its highly addictive and fun without being frustrating. I have only just got part way in to the game but, as with all good titles, I can tell already its not going to leave the disc tray too often. A great game with the massive bonus of x-box live compatability. Definately worth a purchase.
