I was a bit dubious about this product due to the price. But...sure enough, when it arrived two days later, it was all there. A sturdy construction, all the relevant connections and not a bad little software package. I have successfully created back up cd's already (up to 4.7Gb per disk). I've yet to create a DVD but it looks easy enough. If your thinking of buying a DVD writer, you can't go wrong with this excellent value for money package.

A brilliant Item
When I first spotted this item on Amazon I thought the price was a typo but it really is that cheap. You have all the necessary items and the Cine-player which plays the DVD's is a very good player.
To install it, all I had to do was plug the USB cable and the power cable in the back of the DVD drive and plug them into there correct places. Then place in the driver CD which is included in the package.
Because it is an External Re-writer it is extremely simple to install and only requires a tiny amount of IT skills.
Overall, A brilliant DVD-rw suitable for any one at a very good price. I highly recommend this product!!!

usb2 be careful
Yes i understand this dvd drive to be good, BUT i have overlooked the major fact that is is usb2 and whilst backward compatible with usb1.1 the transfer rates are useless, 2.5 hours to back up 1 dvd!!! i need to by a card for my laptop now, just wish someone else had posted the same type of message here before i bought!! i hope this helps you if you intend to buy this product
