Combining pigmented photo inks (photo cartridge No. 31) with dye-based inks (colour cartridge No. 33) produces photo quality results and fade-resistance which rival that of conventional prints.
For photo printing, replace the Black Print Cartridge with the Photo Cartridge No. 31. This adds special photo cyan, magenta and black pigmented inks to the existing dye-based colour inks for a wider range of printable colours, smoother natural skin tones and a greater level of detail. When printing documents that mix text and photos, the additional pigmented black ink of the Photo Cartridge provides clearer, denser text and extra-sharp greyscale output.
The specially formulated inks of the Photo Cartridge offer enhanced resistance to fading, water and smearing when printing on compatible Lexmark photo paper. When used with compatible Lexmark Premium Glossy Photo Papers, the Photo Cartridge ensures outstanding photo quality and longevity.

On high quality photo paper this cartridge is faultless, if your paper a bit iffy, well watch for smudges, and stickyness even after a couple of weeks, dont last very long, but what print quality.
