The best series of Roswell5
This second series of Roswell is the best by far. The characters are more familiar, and the storyline (though at times seeming a little far fetched) develops nicely, tugging at the heartstrings on many occassions. Some of the episodes have evoked tears - I think the high point of the series was when my brother made me rewind the tape in "The End Of The World" just so he could watch one particular scene over and over again. There seems to be more of a general storyline in this series, though there are still many smaller subliners. The end episode ("Departure") is one of my favourites - along with "The End Of The World" and "Cry Your Name", and I think that all three deserve praise for their sensitivity towards the storylines and just for the great standard of acting not seen so much in the previous series.
If you like to watch something which makes you laugh (this certianly does...Kyle's character is explored much more widely, to provide us with some excellent one-liners) and cry, and just want to watch over and over - then you should buy this series. It truely hasn't gained the recognition it deserves.

roswell series 2 -5
Great character development here. You can see the strain of the alien message on Max and it gives you exactly what was missing in the first series - answers to questions! Although, on occasion some huge gaps are left unanswered and certainly aren’t followed in series 3. However, this season concentrates heavily on the mythology of the aliens and why they were put on earth in the first place.
Tess gets more annoying than ever in her quest for Max - give it up girl.

Roswell - The 2nd Season5
The second series of Roswell is just as good as the first. We still have the same characters who undergo some character development and there are some superb standalone episodes such as the episode when future Max visits present Liz, and the 'Alex episodes' - I won't give too much away on that. The characters develop and the 'doomed' romance between Liz and Max continues. We also see a change in Michael & Maria's relationship as things intensify and get to see more of the softer side of Michael. I am a huge Buffy fan also and see some simularities between the two series, so I recommend this series to Buffy & Angel fans also. The acting is superb and the season climax deserves praise.
