Product Description

In Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events, players switch between the three orphans; Violet the inventor, Klaus the brave intellect and Sunny, the biting baby and master each one's strengths to keep them one step ahead of Count Olaf, who will stop at nothing to get his greedy hands on their family fortune. Adventures take them through such film locations as the Count's mysterious mansion, Uncle Monty's reptile room and Aunt Josephine's rickety house hanging over the dark waters of Lake Lachrymose, as well as many other environments exclusive to the game.

Customer Reviews

My daughter enjoyed it and so did I!5
I bought this for my daughter's eighth birthday as she is a huge fan of the books and the film. I ended up playing it too and found it enjoyable. Good graphics, good gameplay (using mouse & keyboard), not too difficult for younger players and some opportunity to explore as well as progress through the locations which take you from Briny Beach through to Count Olaf's house, Justice's Strauss's, Uncle Monty's, a factory, Lake Lachrymose and Aunt Josephine's (not necessarily in that order - as I can't remember)! There is plenty of atmosphere and you get to switch between characters at various points to complete tasks. My daughter particularly liked being Sunny. There is also atmosphere, for instance the gale force winds blowing through Aunt Josephine's house and the floors falling away beneath you. We really enjoyed this. There is a nice balance between solving puzzles, collecting items and fighting baddies. Will be too easy for older, experienced gamers but it will suit 6-12 age range and it might suit parents who don't have time to play serious games and enjoy spending time with their children (although it isn't a multi player game).

We didn't take long to complete this, but my daughter has enjoyed it enough to play it again several times since the summer when it was bought. I would definitely recommend this to fans of the books and film and also to anyone who enjoyed the first three Harry Potter games and the Shrek 2 game as it is very similar to them.

a series of unfortunate events5
it is a briliant game and i urge you to buy it.
a must- have for fans of a series of unfortunate events!!!

Not a bad game2
This was a good offer here, so I bought it, and I was reasonably pleased.
Graphics not bad, gameplay sometimes vERY good.
I think it was the same engine as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, as the gameplay is very similar, and even Klaus's haircut is the same!lol!
anyway.
Good offer on here.
Perhaps 3 hours of gameplay.
JUST A FUN GAME!!!!!!
not challanging AT ALL!
