Takes a bit of getting used to..but a brilliant alternative to the board game!
On my first read of the instructions I thought Oh god this is not going to be easy but once I'd had a trial run of the game with my brother we quickly got to grips with it. Definitely reccommended, it is a fun and obviously much faster alternative to the board game and its card format means that you can play it almost anywhere. It's not exactly the same as the board game, how could it be, but if you like the basis of monopoly then you will like this!

Monopoly without the 3 hour wait
Okay so 99.9% of us have played monopoly but yet 95% will leave it years till they return as it just takes so long.
Well this is difrent to the board game as the properties are on playing cards. You do collect sets just the same though and their is plenty of monopoly cash to give you the flavour of the main game in a handy package that lasts about 20 mins. Perfect for my kids as any longer than that and they get withdrawl symptoms from their video games.
You will not regret buying this pack.

Brilliant, fun, card game - better than the board game
It helps to know the monopoly board game as the card game rules can be picked up more quickly. This is an excellent and much shorter alternative. There are enough rules to make it interesting but not too many for younger players. Would say the 8+ years age recommendation is about right as players have to hold a minimum of 10 cards in their hand and these have to make sense according to the rules. Have owned this card game for years and the whole family (teenagers included) thoroughly enjoy it. It is a must-have for our holidays as every game is different and it is not boring for adults but easy enough for kids.
