Oh, waker of the winds5
Zelda is back! With yet another addictive story line, quests and side quests. As always the world is in great peril, and only you can help, but you start off smiply wanting rescue your sister, then suddenly the whole world enlists you to do their dirty work, ahh, its hard being a hero!
The main difference is that this game is based on the water rather then land, so you have to boat everywhere, its a nice touch, and makes the game feel so much bigger, there is hours of fun to be had by playing the game from start to finish, but there is weeks of fun to be had if you choose to complete all the minnie games and side quests, there is even more to do after you complete the game, which involes replaying the game and taking loads of pictures!
If you have never played a zelda game before, I think this would be a good place to start, as it is simple to get the game controls down and is not as furstrating as some of the earlier titles, dont get me wrong, there are plently of puzzles to solvole and baddies to fight, but the main idea is to get from one island to the next and defeat the big bad bosses!
The game play is wonderful and the graphics outstanding, the music doesnt get too monotonous and the other caratures are varied and interesting. If you are not a big fan of RPG's or have never tried the type before, I would recomend this highly, although maybe not for the younger gamer!
Either way, 10 out of 10!

Legendary Legend of Zelda on Gamecube...Woooo yeah!5
It was critcised alot at its E3 unveiling because of the cell-shaded graphics but all soon saw that under the layer of kiddiness was one of the best games in what is probably the most successful series ever in gaming history. It is definetely easier than other Zelda games and probably shorter. The sunny locales and sandy beaches seem uncharictaristically cheerful compared to the moodiness of Majoras mask and Ocarina of time, even in the dungeons. If you are knew to Zelda then this may be the easiest way of breaking the ice, unfortunately if you haven't played previous games in the series the storyline won't make sense. But this is classic Zelda gameplay... hearing the new item fanfare is as exciting as it ever was as you wield many typical Zelda items like the hookshot, light arrows and the master sword. It has all the sidequests you'd expect from a Zelda game like "collect some pigs" and "get me a fairy". These may sound boring but they often end up involving you doing a puzzle, fighting hardened Moblins or picking of flying Keese with the boomerang. You'll spend alot of time sailing the truly VAST ocean and encounter cool sea battles against everything from giant octos to bomb belching pirate ships. New puzzles come into play when you get to do some dungeons with allies, these include pressing switches and reflecting light to dissolve stuff.
All in all it's a solid Zelda game not to be sniffed at.

Legendary5
The legend of Zelda series of games is possibly the best game series of all time and the latest game The Wind Waker is no exception.

Story: 7/10 Simple yet classic zelda.

Graphics: 10/10 Perfect for what they are, but some may find them too kiddy. But while they aren't at all realistic, The Wind Waker is one of the most beautiful games i have ever played and when you see it in motion you WILL be amazed.

Sound: 8/10 If you like Zelda music then you'll love it.

Gameplay: 10/10 Brilliant combat, exploring and puzzlesolving make The Wind Waker's gameplay basically unmatched elsewhere.

lifespan: 8/10 The main game isn't long by Zelda standards but it'll take you a good 30hours at the least to complete all the sidequests.

Good: Brilliant graphics, brainbending puzzle solving, great boss battles, one of the best combat systems ever.....

Bad: Graphics too kiddy for some, easier than previous Zeldas, Err, emm, that's about it.

Overall: 10/10 Majestic, defiently one of the best games of this generation and possibly of all time.
