Its green FlexiSoft bristles bend when in contact with water enabling gentler brushing, while the interdental tips penetrate hard to reach areas. With its indicator bristles, it lets you know when to replace the brush head.

whitening toothbrush head5
I selected these toothbrush heads because they fit my Braun Oral-B Professional Care 6000 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush, which I have had for several years.

I normally get the deep clean heads which the bumf inside the instruction booklet recommends, but (due to a dentist's mistake - he damaged the root of the tooth) I have a tooth that is darker than the others, so I decided to give these "whitening" toothbrush heads ago.

The bristles are much softer then the ones on the heads that I normally buy, there is less cutting of the gums with the edge bristles than I have had previously.

Each of the coloured bristles are said to have their own purpose within the "whole tooth cleaning experience.

The blue bristles are for that deep between teeth cleaning. The green bristles are designed to bend when wet, meaning that you get a less abrasive clean and the white are the indicator bristles which are to let you know when to replace your brush head.

The yellow centre is the polishing cup, it is a soft cup which holds a small amount of the toothpaste and rubs this against the teeth to produce a whitening and shiny effect on the teeth. As with all Braun replacement brushes each of the individually packed brushes comes with its own washer.

Brushings with this head leave a nice clean feeling, more so than my normal brush head, however this may simply indicate that my brush head needed replacing anyway. As to whether or not using this brush head makes any whitening difference, it is too early to tell, which is why I intend to update this review in a months time.

If you are looking for a nice and gentle, but thorough, clean then these brushes will do the trick.

SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS3
Despite all the claims, the equation with these Oral-B brushes seems obvious. There is a trade-off. You gain a special plastic polishing cup in the middle of the brushes that purports to hold the toothpaste on the teeth to improve the polishing effect. But, of course, you lose the bristles that would otherwise be there.

I can't honestly say that in the month or so in which I've been using the new brushes I've noticed a significant difference in the gleam and dazzle of my teeth. I must admit that some of my front teeth are porcelain bridges - but they should need an extra polish just as much as Nature's own. I would say, though, that it feels as though there is less effective interdental and gum-margin brushing that I've got used to from Braun's standard brushes.

I guess that, if a Hollywood sparkle is important to you, then they're worth a try. If total oral hygiene is your objective, though - and these days we're told that that's very important for our overall health - then maybe the trade-off is purely cosmetic.

You pays your money and you takes your choice.

good but expensive4
I docked one star for cost. Apart from that, I'm very pleased with them. I've had them before and found them to be longlasting. They perform well and fit several of our electric toothbrushes.
