THE BEST GAME THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Game is absolutely amazing.
For any 24 Fan this games is a must. It ties up seasons 2 & 3 brilliantly, it give the stories behind each character who is new in season 3 and tell you what happened between the old characters in season 2.
There is many two different roles you play thought out the game - (actually 58 missions)
1st role is Jack - which is third/ first person shoot um up which has the same look and controls as GTA series. This is the main role you play thought the game with plenty of Varity. You can shoot and punch enemies in some mission you can even knock them over by car/jeep etc.
2nd roles - intelligence analyst - this comprises of using satellite equipment to find where enemies are than pass the location on to jack. Also using computers to hack into PDA and repairs damaged nodes together valuable information.
So far i have played as Jack, Tony, Chase, Michelle in the field ops and played as new characters in the intelligence roles.
All the major characters from the series are in this game with all original voice and look exactly the same as the characters in the series.
I am about 50% the way thought the game and not found any bugs or problems what so ever with the game.
The only thing this game lacks is two-player co-op mode, which could link in brilliantly with some of the missions.
Rating out of 10

Overall whether you are a 24 fan or not this is a game ever PS2 owner should have.
It's going to be one of those days!
The events of this game take place between seasons two and three
The Plot: I wont give you any spoilers. The game plot focuses around the events of the end of season two and the start of season three. It ties up several loose threads left in between these stories. The 24 show producers and script writers were all responsible for the plot of the game, thus it carries with it the same grit, action and fast paced action of the hit tv series (buy now on amazon if you are still to view it!)
The Gameplay: The game has you chasing down suspects in Jack's SUV, running after terrorists as Tony Almedia, and problem solving your way to National Security with other key characters of the show. The game play is enjoyable and smooth at times, and is by no means repetitive in the way it offers you driving, fighting, combat, stealth, and even computer terminal and terrorist interrogation sub games.
The Graphics: The graphics on the whole are not to the playstations full potential. Cut scenes are impressive, however, they are chipped by the games overall 'bitty' type graphics and visuals which at times seem a little wooden in comparison to some of the recent deliveries made by PS2 (such as Tomb Raider Legend). That said, however, the visuals have little effect on you as a gamer when mixed up with a 24 cocktail of music straight from series composer Sean Callery, voices from all of the shows key actors, and that much loved edge of your seat digital clock ticking it's way to a series finale!
Overall:
Pros: The game is very impressive. For passionate fans of the show it will deliver more intense action as you shadow CTU and Mr Bauer for yet another one of those days. And I expect that as a stand alone game aside from the wider show it will offer some enjoyment, although not perhaps in comparison with some other titles of it's genre.
Cons: The one thing that may let this game down lies in the fact that it seems do dated in terms of it's story! Fans of the show will know by now that Jack and CTU have come a long way since season three; that said the game does offer opportunity for gamers to head back into a classic 24 universe whereby we deal with issues like kidnapped Bauers, President Palmers near assasination and the arrival of Chase Edmunds. Just seems a shame that it hasn't been reflecting some of what we have seen in the current anf former season. One other let down is that of the real time factor at play; it doesn't seem to have worked as much as it could have. Perhaps the option of a genuine real time 'challenge mode' may have given the game more overall playability.
Fantastic, I repeat, fantastic
I wanted this game to live up to my expectations, but was worried that it wouldn't. It's been a long time since I played a game that I really enjoyed.
Although I've nowhere near finished it yet, I've got to say its brilliant - it reminds me of how Golden Eye was to play on the N64 many years ago!
The production values really shine through - eg.
* the camera work and editing on the cut scenes are "24";
* you'll be working through a mission, and the screen will split you'll see the enemy taking cover or Tony or Michelle will provide some vital piece of information;
* the clock ticks up on the screen and you feel the pressure building towards the end of each hour;
* the sound track and voice work (by the actual actors) really make it authentic.
You can play some games and realise in a few minutes that you've wasted your £30, this isn't one of those games in my opinion.
If your a fan of 24 then I think you'll love this game - If your not a fan then you may not get as much out of all the work that has been put in to make this so true to the series.
