Well worth a look
Bought this game for the PSP so that I could pick it up whenever I felt like it and play on the move. Have'nt put it down since getting it! Controls are really easy to get used to, gameplay is fun and graphics are superb. There is a bit of slowdown just after loading the level and after switching the PSP on after doing a quickstart, but its only a couple of seconds which is nothing. Load times are ok, not short but not enough to annoy you.

Switching between characters in real time is a great touch. You dont have to be a massive X-Men fan to enjoy this game, but for those who are there's plenty to keep you entertained. 16 mutants, all with different abilities. Some are just powerhouses, some rely on mutant abilities and some, like Nightcrawler with his teleport movements and attacks, are just plain fun.

Have'nt tried online yet, got it working but no games were available at the time. The story mode is so in depth though, that it would'nt bother me to never play online. Maybe the best game on the PSP. 5 stars!

A great RPG
I'll admit now that the name x-men either attracts fans or puts others off. Its a bit of an off putter for me but this game is in a league of its own!

It stays true to its comic book roots and theres lots of detailed characters and sceneries all with good voice work. Theres tons of extras such as concept art and comic book covers as well as a trivia machine but from an RPG view its also awesome. It has tons of playable chracters which are all unique as well as more to unlock. Theres 5 main parts to the story which branch off into different objectes, the level-up system is totally customisable and theres other modes such as sparring and skirmish.

The best feature of this game is the online compatiblity. Its follows the story mode with 3 other friends from the net, all features are still accessible and theres practially no delay in game play.

All in all this is a great game for fans of the Marvel series, RPG fans or people just looking for some online fun!
