Customer Reviews
An excellent soundtrack
For all fans of the show this is a worthwhile companion, even my mum who doesn't watch the show thought the album was brilliant. Firstly there is the theme tune How Soon is Now? which has a slight rock-bass inspired sound. The full length of the song is even better than hearing parts of it on Charmed.
Then there is a brilliant remix of Ashlee Simpson's Pieces of Me which livens the original up making it even catchy.
The other songs are more relaxing and romantic such as Fallen, San Francisco, Free and Home. These are really peaceful to listen to when some relaxation is needed; I found these songs perfect to listen whilst I was studying.
The only reason I haven't gave this CD five stars is because a couple of sings such as Take a Look and Take it Off never really grew on me. That is not to say other people won't enjoy them; I just found them too mediocre however I would not let that deter anyone from buying this great CD. Also I think there was one song missing that would have made the CD perfect: the song that plays at the end of Charmed S4 episode Long Live the Queen when Paige and Piper comfort Phoebe after she has just vanquished Cole. It is such a lovely song I think the addition of it to this soundtrack would complete it.
Since I wrote this review I have found what that song is called Courage by Sarah Polley on the Sweet Hereafter soundtrack. This is not available in the UK, I had to get it imported from America so it would have been handy if this song had been on the Charmed soundtrack, but the Sweet Herafter soundtrack was also good. Just in case anyone else wanted to get their hands on that song.
Charmed: The Book of Shadows
We most remember that this is an IMPORT from the US and I can assure you that on the 5th September How Soon Is Now by Love Spit Love will be on the UK version as I have been told by Silva Screen Records Group for my web-site www.thecharmedones.co.uk :) I think that this is a great album for Charmed with some will known names.
Light and Fun Listen
Charmed, one of today's longest running shows is a show about stong females. So the soundtrack producers put together a collections of stong feamle vocalists who have featured on the show over the years.
Artists such as Liz Phair, The Donnas, Vanessa Carlton and Sarah Brightman grace the CD with songs perfecty fitted for the show.
The show likes to keep up-to-date with the world of pop/rock music so all of the songs on the CD are very hip and modern for a generation of today.
