Synopsis
From the height of the television show's popularity, this full-length movie features all four of Batman (Adam West) and Robin's (Burt Ward) most dastardly and cunning adversaries: the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), the Joker (Cesar Romero), the Riddler (Frank Gorshin), and the Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), joining forces to take over the world thanks to a De-Hydrator that turns people into piles of dust. The dynamic duo pull out all the stops, with a BIFF! and a KA-POW!, to stop the bad guys.

Special Edition With Bat Keyring/Light!
This dvd is Region 2 and is the same as the other 1966 Batman-The Movie, Region 2 dvd. It is also the same price but this issue includes a cardboard box and a Batman keyring which will also shine a red light whilst you hold the button down. I had originally hoped that it actually shone the Bat-signal onto a wall but it's not that fancy! Otherwise both Region 2 editions share the same extras ("Holy interactive menus Batman!", "Precisely, Robin!" spoken by the real actors!). There is the commentary by Burt Ward and Adam West, the Batman featurette with the now much older Burt and Adam talking about the general background of the movie (Adam says the movie was to help sell the series overseas), the Batmobile Revealed featurette, theatrical trailer and teaser trailer, and stills from Adam's own collection plus stills from behind the scenes of the movie's production. There are subtitles in thirteen different languages including English but these are only for the movie and don't include the extras I'm sorry to say. It's slightly camp, it's hilarious and, given the parity of pricing, you should buy this edition. Batman and Robin face the combined power of Catwoman, the Joker, the Riddler and the Penguin.
