Brilliant little device, excellent sound...5
...unless you didn't read the specification and tried to tune your radio into it!

This is not an FM transmitting device, just a simple effective mini amp that requires an extra lead from the amp (the thing that plugs into the lighter socket and looks like a bulb) to your car hifi aux-in socket.

Compared to using a lead straight from the iPod headphone jack to the hifi aux-in, this gives much better sound, and it charges your iPod too.

What more could you ask for, at this price? FM transmission I guess :-)

Nice idea but needs a suppressor1
After searching far and wide I came across this Belkin charger/audio jack connector for the ipod (look, no FM transmitter ;-)). Great thinking, and I'm surprised such an idea isn't widely available. Maybe this is why: even using a high quality gold plated phono jack cable the interference from the engine in my car makes an unbearable sound through the speakers, the extent of which is governed by the revs of the engine. I will try to find a cable with an in-line suppressor to see if it helps, but if that's too expensive or doesn't work then I'm afraid all I have is an expensive charger that I didn't need.

doesnt work at all1
I have a Renault Megane 2002. my wife wants to listen to her ipod during long commute journeys, hence the purchase of this produce. We have tried, neighbour has tried, work colleagues have tried to make the apperently simple operation work, without success. No FM channel is found.
