Synopsis
Contains the family films ICE AGE and its sequel, ICE AGE 2 - THE MELTDOWN.
ICE AGE is set at the dawn of the Ice Age. Twenty thousand years ago, a group of three creatures finds an infant child and team up together to return him to his father. There's Manfred, a depressed woolly mammoth, Sid, an amusing sloth and Diego, a mischievous sabre-toothed tiger. Along the way they are joined by a squirrel named Scrat, who is constantly trying to bury his much-loved acorn.
With their habitat under threat from flooding caused by the ending of the ice age, ICE AGE 2 sees unlikely friends Manny the woolly mammoth, Diego the sabre-toothed tiger, and Sid the sloth set out on a quest to find a boat that is rumoured to be at the other end of the valley.

Very cool indeed....
I've always had a soft spot for funny animated films, and these are 2 of the best ones that you will ever see. Shrek and Toy Story led the way with films that appealed to kids but did not neglect the adult audience with elements of humour that ensured the older person would enjoy the movie as well.

The star of the show in the 2 Ice Age films is most certainly Scrat (the squirrel-rat), he is an absolute legend!! His short moments are the funniest without doubt, but the other characters are very likeable as well, most notably Sid the Sloth.

This double pack is a real bargain, as there are some decent extras on the DVD's as well. The rumour is, that Ice Age 3 will be released next summer and I am looking forward to the third part in this extremely enjoyable series.

Great films, enjoyed by adults and pre-schoolers alike, and excellent value with both for this price.

Get that nut boy!!!!
The first Ice Age was new and fresh and it was filled with comedy, especially the dodo's and let us not forget that little squirrel chasing that nut! I feel sorry for the little guy! But the idea was original and entertaining for all!

The second Ice Age was good with slightly better animation, but lacked the attractiveness of the first movie. The comedy is still there, but that lovey dovey element has been added (not to an extent where it bothered me) but I felt that it was playing to the typical Hollywood stereotype... if you want to sell... you have to have romance! Not true! It was great to see that little squirrel still chasing after that nut!! This time he was really going for it... especially funny when he losses his cool and karatacizes anyone who dares touch that precious nut!!

All in all, a good pack with great money value... recommended for the whole family!
