Synopsis
Contains all the episodes from the second series of the classic and highly influential television comedy show Monty Python's Flying Circus. Consisting of British actors Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and American Terry Gilliam, the hugely influential comedy troupe evolved from Cambridge University's Footlight Society in the late 1960s in order to become one of the most worshipped comedy acts of all time. Groundbreaking both in terms of its offbeat acting style and radical approach to the most controversial, taboo subjects (including sex, race, and politics), the legendary series MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS would forever change the face of sketch comedy. After the series' demise, the unit would go on to create several big screen classics, including MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL and MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN, as well as spawning major Hollywood careers for its members (most notably, Gilliam, director of THE FISHER KING and TWELVE MONKEYS).

AT LONG LAST.....BUT
Yes after years of waiting they finally get round to releasing the best series ever released.
I bought my FULL collection on Amazon via Germany, all 45 episodes in English on Region 2, even the package is in English for 50 Euros so why oh why is this being released bit by bit and for so much, why is there not a full set like Germany.
Well at least they got round to releasing it at long last.... lets hope they release the "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" next....

About time! But could be better...
At long last, the homeland of Python will (soon) be able to buy the COMPLETE Monty Python's Flying Circus. And it's about time.

The cover art is great compared to the "knocked-up-in-5-minutes" USA covers. But sadly, the content could have been better. According to a statement made by Python Pictures, these releases will contain NO special features at all. Which in my eyes is an extremely poor effort. These people obviously have no pride in their work.

So like many others I am STILL wishing for a COMPLETE, UNCUT, and SPECIAL-FEATURE-FILLED release of this LEGENDARY comedy show!!

However, my moaning and frustrations aside, Monty Python's Flying Circus is THE greatest comedy show of all time. If you like comedy, and you like sketch shows, you simply must give it a try. For complete Python virgins, I recommend starting with series 2.
