Customer Reviews
It's a cookie jar..., not a toy!!!
I really like these cookie jars BUT they are not toys & I have no idea why they have been classed (tagged) as such..., I recently had a statue of a knight fall on my Dalek cookie jar & it got exterminated!!!
This made me purchase a replacement & have a look at what other designs are available..., there are 5 designs in total (of the original Dalek) plus 1 of the new Dalek, I now have them all & they are on a special display unit as statues..., NOT play things!!!
There is a problem with the other designs, unfortunately the paint seems to flake off of them, I am told this is because they were just painted onto the white glazed Dalek..., all of my Daleks are suffering from flaky paint jobs, the red one worst of all SO I'd personally recommend to anyone that they buy a White Dalek cookie jar as this obviously doesn't suffer from flaking paint like the others!!!
ex-tricated
daleks, daleks, daleks! that's all i bloody hear these days since she gave me those godammed daleks. she made out i was getting soemthing special for xmas (went on about it for weeks) and what do i get, another flaming dalek. Yes, we did have a couple of minutes enjoyment posing them in different positions, but after the thrill has worn off it's bacl to watching charlie brooker on BBC4 (in which she is appearing next Wednesday incidentally - have to mention that or she'll kill me.) In the meantime my entire sleeping patterns have been reduced to choas - daleks screaming "exterminate, exterminate" in various tones 'til six o'clock in the morning. As for the noises they make when they're at it; you just don't want to know. Incidentally, I'm only writing this review at raygun point. Can I go now?
Fun with daleks
I bought a ceramic dalek cookie jar (from a local shop)last year for a friends Christmas present. My friend who is 66yrs old (an avid Dr Who fan) was delighted. I wanted to buy a 'partner' dalek for the same friend this year but found they could only be bought on line as the shop had stopped selling them. Unfortunately they had risen from £9.99 to £29.99! I went ahead and ordered a white and gold (approriate for a bride)dalek. the order came and it was black and gold! I had no choice but to settle for that one as time was against me. I made a bridal veil and bouquet and presented the dalek to my friend. he absolutely loved it! Both daleks are now a permanent feature on his coffee table. We have hours of pleasure acting out dalek scenarios using the ceramic models as puppets, we have HILARIOUS evenings!!! Looking now for 'kid' dalek cookie jars! In my opinion money well spent!!!!
