premier 2008 problems if up-grading
forced to upgrade from pro 2005 to premier 2008 as support being withdrawn. many issues if up-grading from pro. My problem was stock and units of measurement. Bug in software (one of many). Cant use premier 2008 until sorted so back using pro 2005. Also aware of issues with VAT.

We have used Quickbooks since 2002 and find it a very simple and easy system to use. We have recently upgraded from the 2005 Standard version to Premier 2008 and it was extremely easy. Quickbooks do advise that your historical VAT records will not run in Premier 2008. Our advice is to upgrade the day after your VAT period end and you MUST leave your old software on your computer, just in case you or the VAT Office want to review your records.

Once you have installed your 2008 Software you have 30 days support FOC. We suggest that you get support to reset your VAT Control to a zero balance for the start of the new VAT quarter. Do not input any Bills before doing this.

not so Quick
I've used QB before and liked it so decided to make a switch when our business was growing. I was frustrated to find that you can't upgrade from Quicken to QuickBooks with the UK version as you can on the USA version. I found a friend to make the conversion for me but then found that QB UK couldn't read it. Frustrating.
