Sony tried too hard.
I bought this model for my wife's 34th birthday. We keep it on the 4th floor at the top and it looks really sexy. But there is a a big but. The picture keeps freezing, it can't keep up with the resolution. Sony has just concentrated on the size not the quality. I would much preffer a 32" Samsung instead of a good-looking 55" Sony. Very bad response time aswell, wich is a real let down for the wii and ps3 that my kids have got. not reccomended. also Sony were rude and impatient with me on the phone. 2/5 4/10

Flawless
Never thought I would see a LCD panel produce a picture like the Pioneer Kuro plasma, but WOW does this come close (if not surpass it!). Truly phenomenol picture with unbelievable contrast and surreal depth. Makes you want to watch every DVD/BD you own again and again! Well done Sony!

Sony Bravia KDL55X4500U 55-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview and 100Hz MotionflowPro

This is a fabulous TV - certainly top rated by various magazines, but I saw it demonstrated and it is the LED back lighting that makes the HD pictures absolutely superb. SD pictures depend on the broadcaster, but BBC is excellent. Blu-Ray is stunning, as is Sky HD, BUT you do need a top quality HDMI cable (I chose 'CHORD' make). So having spent this amount of money, don't short change with cheap cabling. Fantastic TV
