Unlike the evil enemies you fought against in the previous story, in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, players will fight against the characters' own inner demons. Two of the most popular characters in the series and heroes of the beloved Resident Evil 2, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, will be making their return. Continuing in the survival horror tradition, The Darkside Chronicles will increase the thrills and chills with an enhanced two-player co-op mode where players will be able to follow their partners on the same screen. Their conversations and interactions have also been improved to create a more intense co-op experience. A more terrifying experience than ever before, The Darkside Chronicles combines a shaky and realistic handheld camera experience with an eerie soundtrack and creepy sound effects utilising state-of-the-art technology.
- Two-Player Co-Op Shooting: Invite friends and family to experience the horror alongside you in two-player co-op mode.
- Revisit Classic Resident Evil Levels: Experience environments and areas from classic Resident Evil titles such as Raccoon City from Resident Evil 2 and the hidden Umbrella laboratory from Resident Evil: Code Veronica, as well as scenarios that will be all new to The Darkside Chronicles.
- Fan Favourite Characters Return: Play as Leon S. Kennedy, protagonist of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, his partner Claire Redfield, who appeared in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.
- Customisable Weapons: Players can upgrade and customise their weapons for each battle scenario. Each playable character can be specialised for a specific combat style.
- Dynamic Difficulty: In addition to the initial settings of Easy, Normal and Hard, the game's difficulty level will adjust automatically based on the player's skill level so that both old and new fans can have a fun and challenging experience

Just a bit of fun
I own most of the other Resident Evil games for the Playstation and even though I prefer them I don't think this game should be overlooked.
First of all the game gives a nice overview of Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica even if not completely accurate for anyone who hasn't played these game for whatever reason (too young when they first came out or because don't like the controls).
I have only played it on the co-op mode but this is what makes it fun as it's like being in an arcade but in the comfort of your own home and even though you're working together it scores you at the end of each section so you can compete with your partner.
The graphics are visually stunning and even though the voice acting can be a bit classic resident evil at times it does give it a bit of charm.
However I must say that the game controls where you go and face and can at time be really annoying especially when you trying to pick up an item. I'd also wish it was a bit longer but it is defiatly replayable. I do also recommend that you have a Wii controller gun add on as it gives you that arcade like feeling.
To sum up I would recommend this game as just entertaining and a bit of fun which is really what gaming is all about.
Worth the wait
A while ago a on-rail shooter named "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles" took players through events of the Resident Evil Universe with game 0,1,3: Nemisis & New Chapter of Chris Redfield and Jill Valintine in an Artic facilty.
Like its predicessor Resident Evil: The DarkSide Chronicles takes you though the events of the games Resdient Evil 2, Code Veronica & new scenario with Leon S. Kennedy and Partner Jack Krauser. But this is not all rehash & there are several new scenes but if you are not famalier with the R.E universe you may have trouble keeping up becasuse alot of the orginal games exposition was forshadowed by Clipboards, books etc. The Graphics and Story are pretty solid and Gameplay only flaw is the overly active camera.
This is recommended wii game and on-rail shooter genre seems to work
frustrating on-rails bore
Resident evil 4 on the wii is superb, and I'm a fan of the resi series. House of the dead overkill and deadspace extraction are relly enjoyable on-rails shooters and so I am a fan of this type of game.Darkside Chronicles is, however, a very poor game. The game is deeply frustrating for several reasons: it gives you a varied array of guns but ammo is so sparse that you spend most of your time fighting enormous, regenerating bosses with a pistol that packs as much punch as a peashooter. The actual levels seem to take about 3 minutes and seem like an afterthought. The gameplay breaks down like this - 2 minutes of very nice to look at but ultimately pointless cut scene - followed by about 3 minutes of on rails zombie shooting, except you spend more time fighting little spiders and cockroaches and moths that sap your energy and waste your ammo- followed by an endless boss battle that goes on and on and on.It takes about twenty minutes of constant dying and restarting to defeat each boss as you have no ammo, you have no way of avoiding their blows and in order to kill them you have to shoot specific target points eg. eyes, with your gun and that takes careful aiming. Aiming!!!?? This is THE most frustrating part of the game. For most of the entire game you feel like you are watching a home movie filmed by somebody with a nervous tremor and a twitch with a camera mounted on a bike with buckled wheels being ridden over cobbles! You cannot aim at a single thing! To make matters worse bosses spalsh water or mud at the "camera" further obscuring your view and as your character slowly gets poundeed by these blurry enemies he or she starts to get "cloudy" vision indicating their deteriorating health status to further ruin your gaming experience!
If you want to experience an excellent on rails shooter may I suggest you buy house of the dead overkill. If you want to experience Darkside Chronicles may I suggest you still buy house of the dead overkill but play it with the sound off(no humour)with the tv sat on top of a washing machine on full spin(lots of shaking)after having drunk an entire bottle of vodka(lurching about and unsteady aiming) whilst wearing a pair of fogged up swimming goggles.
