Buy used from: £2.03 The face of Resident Evil has changed nowadays so I wouldn't say it's a good intro to the franchise, but old-school Resi fans, if you don't have this game, buy now, I love it as much as Resi 2.

Buy new: £24.95 / Used from: £2.85 An interesting addition to the Resident Evil franchise, constantly being barraged with zombies and monsters is refreshing in an odd way, adds an air of panic to things. Good stuff.

Buy new: £6.55 / Used from: £5.75 Damn good game, but, as most Resident Evil fans said when they played it, what the hell is it? It's not Resident Evil that's for sure. But hey, it was time for a change, and this is pretty special.

Buy new: £19.99 / Used from: £4.50 I don't know whether this was better than Silent Hill 1 or not. It's less claustrophobic, there's so much space, it's almost a sandbox game. It's also an enthralling work of art. Hm.

Buy new: £11.00 / Used from: £7.94 Much better graphics on this one if you're into that, and it's a good addition to the series, but it let's itself down by ruining the tension with some awful, cheesy bosses (giant snake anyone?).

Buy new: £8.99 / Used from: £4.07 Not bad. Drags on a bit really, it gets pretty boring in places, but the setting and action ain't bad. And on 2 player co-op (unusual for Survival Horrors, isn't it?) it's actually pretty fun.

Buy new: £12.99 / Used from: £1.57 This is just Resident Evil 4 on a boat. Big, big, big rip off but really okay, worth a look if it's cheap.

Buy new: £37.95 / Used from: £9.89 You're a little girl in a massive, massive mansion who can barely run, has no special powers or talents and is armed with only a camera to stop weird ghosts from eating you. Scary. As. Hell.

Buy new: £8.90 / Used from: £1.50 Not 100% sure why I still have this, but I do, so that says something at least. It's dull, with bad graphics, but slashing and eating Nazis is a plus in anyone's book. Apparently the second one's ace.

Buy new: £3.49 / Used from: £0.01 This is what Bloodrayne wants to be. A bit of a cult hit, one of the first games released on PS2, the controls are very strange, but I think it works, allows for some good moves. Pretty good game.

Buy new: £6.39 / Used from: £0.01 There's a cheat on this where if you press L2 you fall over, and if you press R3 everything goes slow-mo. Falling down in slow motion on the Playstation. Days of amusement. Pretty weak game otherwise.

Buy used from: £0.74 Horrendous graphics and sadly quite a short game (not including side-quests or mini-games), but, non-the-less, being Spiderman with full freedom over New York is ace. Worth buying I'd say.

Buy used from: £7.30 Just wasn't that good, all a bit samey. It's got a fair few ups though, if you can trudge through the downs.

 | Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain (PS)
Buy new: £29.97 / Used from: £2.20 What a game. Great characters, great storyline, great graphics (for the time), great gameplay, great fun, challenging, puzzling, exciting. Very good indeed.

Buy new: £16.99 / Used from: £1.74 A very worthy follow-up, I'd say, but sometimes the puzzles are rather boring to do, too easy, or take too long or both. If it's one or the other, get Soul Reaver 1, but this ain't bad.

 | Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2
Buy new: £29.95 / Used from: £2.47 It's no classic, that's for sure. Far too easy, even on hard, but it is rather fun playing as Kain, he's got some cool powers. It's better than Bloorayne, definately, but, still, not that good.

Buy used from: £3.77 A good movie tie-in game? Really?! Yes! Batman Begins is ace. Sorta sneak-em-up thing going on, but plenty of action in the meantime too. Very good indeed, worth a look if ya see it.

Buy used from: £0.01 He's a cool guy. He does cool stuff. Like bullet-time and shooting two Berettas at once. The storyline's enthralling, and the pulp, film noir thing going on is a big-hit for any Raymond Chandler fans.

This is the even more involving sequel. It's a bit easy again, but great story, cool stuff and an overall better game, an improvement on an already very good one.

Buy used from: £6.99 Essential gaming. Any Oddworld game is. They're all FANTASTIC. This is where it all began, pick it up for sure.
