A lot of the punk of the time can now be tiresome but this one although of a very adult theme is thought provoking and even if you're not a 'punker' you'll prob. find it perversely uplifting.

Not Prodigy, a marvelous mix off old school hip-hop and other hand picked stuff. 48 tracks so some tracks are fleetingly visited. A bit of a rollercoaster ride but difficult to turn off.

Good old Dean and Gene Ween you just want to be their mate.

I think Andy Votel deserves credit for bringing to light many unknown prog. artists. However, i think he could have been bothered to supply a track list or is he becoming anal about his 'discoveries'

The term 'trip hop' was invented for this band (and maybe Massive attack). If you don't know this band and you like moody, chilling songs then today is your lucky day. Grungy and beautiful.

Canada's finest. While prog rock/ metal is not my usual tipple, i love Rush. Brilliant musicians and nievely comical lyrics 'we are the priests of the temple of Syrinx', no you're not i am!

Don't play this in front of your mates or you'll have the p**s ripped out of you. play it on your own and keep your secret hidden. But seriously a masterpiece and not to be mocked - honestly.

A really nice triple from the Vertigo label. This one is for anyone who is interested in the birth of prog. before it became cheesy. Artwork and notes are tiptop.

Couldn't resist it - cosmic. The first five albums are all champion. Before Ozzy the daft burk became a cabbage.

Old dance tunes done brilliantly by a classical music ensemble. I know this sounds sh*te but it is a lovely album and will become difficult to get hold of - act now.

Goes to show that even though the 80's were sh*te, they weren't. A very good film but a brilliant soundtrack.

This triple cd set is the best of it's kind. If you're interested in early 'progressive' music then this is the one to buy. There are others similar comp.s but this is the best of a good bunch.
