Excellent general yet detailed guide to Cornwall.
This book has enough information and pictures to whet your appetite on nearly every page. It tells you some of the history of the different areas, mentions places of interest such as houses and gardens and gives a good guide to beaches as well. It is well laid out and is divided into sections so that you can easily access the area of Cornwall in which you are interested. It is aimed at adults rather than children although it does cover some visitor attractions of family interest (not the adventure park type places). I used it all the time and found it very informative.

Great Guide
I used this guide for a holiday earlier in the year. This is a very detailed and informative guide that is very well laid out and clear. This gave good ideas for things to do beyond the obvious (Eden Project, Land's End etc - though they are covered) and also threw in plenty of interesting historical information.
