Rough Guide to Scotland
The Rough Guide to Scotland (Rough Guide Travel Guides)
After visiting Scotland for the first time recently, I realised that I wanted to know more at what I was looking at!
The Rough Guide is ideal...easy to find pages, photos, small histories, succinct backgounds....almost as much pleasure reading as when visiting.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Not good enough, not much details..
I used this for my recent trip to Scotland. I only visited Highlands so I can comment only about the part of book that covers Highlands.
The book doesn't really cover anything in much details and doesn't provide any useful information that you can't find on any free websites on internet.
I was hoping this guide will cover much of the interesting things that can be done in Scotland but it only covered the things that you can check with anyone who has briefly visited Highlands.
Excellent
I take issue with the complaint (above) about lack of information on the Highlands as Rough Guides do publish a separate title for "Highlands and Islands". If people want more detail about this area then buy that book instead.
An excellent title and very high quality.
