Average customer review:
The Shirehorses debut album. This is the best music album from Mark and Lard. It contains their songs from the Graveyard Shift - when they could get away with plenty of beeped out swearing, as well as songs from their daytime shows. Contains the classics 'Hapless Boy Lard', 'The Ballad Of Franny Lee', and 'You're a Bastard'.

Slam-Dunking in to the Top 10 Mate5
Well, what I can I say about this effort, musically rubbish, they can't sing a note but who cares because one of the best albums I have ever heard just because the bare faced cheek of these two ripping off proper artists songs but who cares it's remarkable.Stop, no, carry on please

Not bad, but I can't see them getting anywhere5
The Ballad of Franny Lee is one of the most beautiful songs ever, but music is not really the point of this - it's basically just hilariously funny, everytime you hear it. I can't believe Marc Riley used to sing in his own band - it must have been his looks that took him to the top. If you're a Mark and Lard fan, buy this.

Cracking comedy - utterly hilarious!!5
I'll be brief - I'm sure the reader realises, by scanning the song titles, that this is a parody album. It does what it sets out to do brilliantly, parodying the original music by altering the style, and giving it comic lyrics that in some cases are realted to the original song, in others related to the a news story of some description, and sometimes just to be funny. Absolutely brilliant and not to be missed - the first time I heard it I couldn't stop laughing!!
