whales and dolphins of the world
describes the knows species of marine mammals of the world. Valuable for nature overs
Complete, up-to-date and fantastic
This book has a rather dated cover, which makes it look older than it really is. However, I managed to get over that hurdle and found it to be quite simply the most complete and up-to-date book I have ever seen on this fascinating subject. The illustations are, in almost every case, very well produced with excellent photographs. Many of the mammals are covered in more accurate detail than I have seen anywhere else and in some cases completely new information is provided. If you have any other books on marine mammals, especially the whales and dolphins, then this is the ultimate book to "check-mate" the others - enjoy.
Sea Mammals of the World
As a dedicated wildlife watcher, this book is invaluable. When travelling in areas where it is possible to see marine mammals it has always been necessary to carry several books. Now this one book covers everything that you need to know and is a wealth of knowledge in a friendly and easily readable way. Beautifully illustrated with small maps on each page it is wonderful to be able to travel to the Antarctic with the same book you would take to Lake Baikal. This is the book that we have been waiting for. A great addition to wildlife book collectors. Fantastic.
