Limited entertainment
We got this for our 7 month old for Christmas. He's baby number 2 so we thought he should have something of his own instead of hand me downs. Gotta say this is not value for money. Four feet long and despite what the reviews say, this is a one trick lump of plastic. We got this for our son to move away from his Graco playstation thingy, the doughnut one that makes them look like Davros.. But this has so little compared to the tables and stations on sale. The balls go running down a chute and make lights and music come on. But other than that, all you have is a hidey-hole for the 6 balls in the hippo (an adult can spin the hippo round slowly), a hollow elephant to put balls in the ears that immediately come out through the nose (not complex) and a couple of fiddly things on the top (spinning two-tone ball and springy crab). Also a couple of dangly things that do nothing but put on annoying music when touched. Compare that to Graco stations or tables and this is very little to amuse your baby till toddlerdom. We'll be sticking with the Fisher Price Animal Train (which can be packed away in a cupboard) and his sister's toys (Vtech rocket shape sorter and Vtech push along cart) when he gets sick of being a prisoner in his Graco.... Hope this makes you consider other options before buying.
Alright, but not worth the expense!
My parents bought this for our 9 month old daughter at Christmas. It was fiddly to put together, but it quite sturdy. I am very disappointed with the lack of features. As someone else has said, it is basically a 4 foot long lump of plastic. There is a hollow plastic hippo for the balls to rest in - why didn't the designers add eyelids that move and make a noise, or a nose that squeaks, or some crinkly feet? The top bar has a bendy mirror, a spining ball, a frog rattle and a butterfly flip toy. My little one does not play with any of them. But she does like to eat the plastic monkey on the top! I usually love the songs that are on Fisher Price toys, but I can honestly say that this is the most annoying, lack lustre effort yet. Having said that, my 9 month seems to like dancing to it over and over and over and over again. There could be a lot more scope for fun activites to do on this huge piece of equipment. I would save your money.
Excellent
My son loves this toy, its bright and colourful and a very sturdy toy hes already pulled himself up with it. The price had put me off abit but its a very good price on amazon. Plays 3 tunes, awards baby when he plays with different bits. My son was abit confused how the balls dont come out the same place each time its great to watch as the ball comes out and he laughs. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
