Does what is says4
A book on Adwords for dummies and that about sums it up. A great introduction into the world of Adwords and very recommended if you have yet to use Adwords to promote your business.

A waste of time1
The first few chapters in this book discuss Adwords, but not in a systematic manner and there is no real substance to it. The rest of the book is spend on creating landing pages and finding keywords. Much of this information is outdated and seems to come straight out of college marketing books. There is a lot of general marketing information in this book, wich does not specifically relate the web. This book is biased, as it heavily promotes the authors own tools and services. For both the novice and the advanced user, there are much better books on the subject.

Order it, study it, and get results!5
I had started to use Google AdWords before purchasing this book. I'd gone through all of Google's lessons at their online Learning Center, got perfect scores, and thought I knew enough to run some decent ad campaigns. I was wrong. I wound up getting quite frustrated and thinking that AdWords might just be a costly trap for the inexperienced like me. And actually it can be a trap if you try to use it on your own simply using the information available on Google's Learning Center. Fortunately, I decided to check out Amazon to see if there was a good, recent book available on AdWords. I saw the good reviews for this title and ordered it. Now, here I am, another voice in the choir, praising this book in my first ever Amazon review. The book is absolutely packed with clearly explained information which will get you up and running on AdWords and doing all the right things from the start. Believe me, there is a lot to know, and you WILL know it after having read the book. Knowing the ins and outs of AdWords means that you will be increasing the number of visitors to your site. I cannot see anyone not being able to do this after having read through this book and following the author's suggestions. I'm seeing results already and I only received the book a week ago. Something else I'd like to mention is that the author, Howie Jacobson, is a nice person. How do I know that? I had a question, decided to email Dr. Jacobson about it thinking I'd probably not get a reply, and was quite surprised to receive an answer right away. But, back to the book.....
If you want to use AdWords and don't know much about it, or if you are already using it and are not happy with the results you are getting or amount of money you are spending (which was my big beef), just order Google AdWords for Dummies, dedicate a couple days to it (take notes, underline, re-read etc), and you'll be more than happy with your new gained knowledge and the results it will bring you.
