Tired of navigating with soggy tissue?
The map is as you would expect from OS, no need for a Harvey's here (though they are fantastic maps). The waterproofing, whilst not as good as Harvey's in terms of weight gain or bulk, does not increase either anywhere near enough to outweigh the advantages in use compared to a non-treated map. This map is certainly a better option than some old map case blowing around wildly - or the map turning to papier mache as you try to rearrange it in your map case in heavy weather just because you have gone over a fold! Used these maps in group work many, many times and would definitely recommend.

Expensive
More than twice the price of the standard maps, the Active ones will last longer but ask yourself if you think it's worth it. Unless you regularly wear out the standard paper OS maps, you'll probably be better off buying a normal one and replacing it with an up-to-date version when it does wear out.

If you do need the extra, though, this is lovely. It's spent days tucked in my back pocket when cycling across and around Dartmoor and it shows no sign of having been used.
